SERPHIX Remote Control Instruction Manual

For Gym Timer Models CT-103 and CT-105

1. Important Information

This remote controller is specifically designed for use with SERPHIX gym timer models CT-103 and CT-105. It serves as a replacement unit and is fully compatible with these models.

Battery Requirement: The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries. These batteries are NOT INCLUDED and must be purchased separately.

  1. SET: Time setting / 12/24H clock adjustment.
  2. Clock Icon: Stopwatch mode activation.
  3. Down: Countdown mode.
  4. UP: Count-up mode.
  5. OK (Center Button): Confirm / Pause / Go on.
  6. BRT (Up Arrow): Brightness up / Time increase.
  7. VOL (Left Arrow): Volume down / Left shift.
  8. VOL (Right Arrow): Volume up / Right shift.
  9. BRT (Down Arrow): Brightness down / Time reduction.
  10. Menu Icon: Storage list / Custom interval access.
  11. T/E: Tabata / EMOM mode selection.
  12. COLOR: Change color (if supported by timer).
  13. Alarm Clock Icon: Add alarm clock.
  14. Bluetooth Icon: Disconnect Bluetooth.
  15. Trash Can Icon: Delete all alarms.
  16. Speaker Icon: Toggle timer reminder sound.
  17. EXIT: Return to previous screen or exit menu.

Remote Control Distance: The remote control operates effectively up to 39 feet (approximately 12 meters). Ensure proper alignment towards the timer for optimal performance.

3. Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

The remote control is ready for use immediately after battery installation. No pairing process is typically required for this replacement unit with compatible SERPHIX gym timers.

4. Operating Instructions

  • Power On/Off: The remote typically does not have a dedicated power button. It activates upon button press. Ensure your gym timer is powered on.
  • Navigation: Use the UP, DOWN, LEFT (VOL), and RIGHT (VOL) arrow buttons to navigate through menus and adjust values on your gym timer.
  • Selection/Confirmation: Press the OK button (center) to confirm selections or to pause/resume a timer function.
  • Mode Selection: Use buttons like SET, Clock Icon, Down, UP, Menu Icon, and T/E to switch between different timer modes (e.g., time setting, stopwatch, countdown, count-up, Tabata/EMOM).
  • Adjustments: Use the BRT (Up/Down Arrows) to adjust brightness or increase/decrease time values. Use VOL (Left/Right Arrows) for volume control or shifting options.
  • Exiting Menus: Press the EXIT button to return to the previous screen or exit a menu.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the surface or internal components.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always use new AAA batteries and dispose of old batteries responsibly.
  • Storage: Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Avoid Drops: Protect the remote from drops and impacts, which can damage internal circuitry.
