The Waterdrop X8-PRO system is designed for undersink installation and typically takes about 30 minutes to set up. Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and to prevent leaks.
Pre-Installation Checklist:

- Ensure sufficient space under your sink for the unit (Dimensions: 18.2"L x 6.25"W x 16.72"H).
- Confirm an available under-sink electrical outlet.
- Prepare for drilling two holes in the countertop for the RO faucet and drain pipe connection.

Installation Steps Overview:
- Prepare the Installation Area: Clear the space under your sink. Turn off the cold water supply.
- Install the RO Faucet: Drill a hole in your countertop (if not pre-drilled) and mount the smart RO faucet.
- Connect the Feed Water Adapter: Install the feed water adapter to your cold water line.
- Install the Drain Saddle: Attach the drain saddle to the drain pipe.
- Connect Tubing: Connect the pure water, drain, and inlet tubing to the corresponding ports on the RO system and faucet. Ensure tubing is fully inserted until it reaches the mark and lock clips pop up to prevent leaks.
- Install Filters: Insert the F1G, F2W, and F3 filters into their respective slots.
- Power On: Plug the system into the electrical outlet.

Dual Water Flow System:
The Waterdrop X8-PRO features an innovative dual water flow design, providing two types of water:
- Pure RO Water: Delivered through the dedicated smart RO faucet for drinking and cooking. This water undergoes 9-stage filtration.
- Filtered Water: Delivered through your existing kitchen faucet for washing dishes, fruits, and vegetables. This water undergoes 5-stage filtration, reducing chlorine and odor.

Smart Faucet Features:
The included smart faucet provides real-time information:
- TDS Monitor: Displays the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) level of the pure RO water.

5-Stage Filtration (for Filtered Water):
Water delivered through your existing kitchen faucet undergoes a 5-stage filtration process, primarily focused on reducing chlorine and odors, making it suitable for washing food and dishes.

Maintenance and Filter Replacement
Regular maintenance, especially timely filter replacement, is essential to ensure the continuous performance and longevity of your Waterdrop X8-PRO system.
Filter Lifespan:
- F1G Filter: Approximately 12-month lifespan.
- F2W Filter: Approximately 6-month lifespan.
- F3 RO Filter: Approximately 24-month lifespan.
The smart faucet will provide filter life reminders. The system also features automatic water shutoff during filter replacement for convenience.

Resetting Filter Lifespan Indicator:
After replacing a filter, you will need to reset its lifespan indicator on the system unit. To reset, press and hold the corresponding filter button (F1, F2, or F3) on the system unit for 7 seconds until the system beeps and the indicator light changes.
