Setup Instructions
1. Tripod Assembly
- Unfold the tripod legs and extend them to your desired height. Secure the leg locks.
- Ensure the tripod is stable on a flat surface.

Figure 3: The tripod features adjustable legs for varying heights (25 to 44 inches) and a stable base, ensuring steady observation. The image shows the tripod being adjusted.
2. Attaching the Alt-Azimuth Mount and Optical Tube
- Attach the Alt-Azimuth mount to the top of the tripod. Secure it firmly.
- Place the telescope optical tube into the mount's cradle rings. Tighten the rings to hold the tube securely.
- Attach the elevation and azimuth adjustment handles to their respective ports on the mount. These handles allow for precise movement of the telescope.

Figure 4: The Vertisteel AZ mount offers exceptional stability and precision adjustments for smooth tracking of celestial objects. This image highlights the mount's design and adjustment capabilities.
3. Installing the Diagonal and Eyepiece
- Insert the diagonal mirror into the focuser tube. Secure it with the small thumbscrew.
- Insert your chosen eyepiece (e.g., 20mm for lower magnification, 10mm for higher magnification) into the diagonal. Secure it with the thumbscrew.
4. Attaching the Finderscope
- Slide the finderscope into its bracket on the telescope tube.
- Tighten the screws on the bracket to hold the finderscope firmly in place.
5. Attaching the Phone Adapter and Holder
- The phone adapter can be attached to an eyepiece for astrophotography.
- The phone holder can be mounted on the telescope tube to use your smartphone for star-finding applications.

Operating Instructions
1. Aligning the Finderscope
Before observing, align the finderscope with the main telescope. Point the main telescope at a distant, stationary object during the day. Look through the finderscope and adjust its alignment screws until the object is centered in both the finderscope and the main telescope's eyepiece.
2. Focusing
Once an object is located, turn the focus knob slowly until the image appears sharp and clear. Fine-tune the focus for optimal clarity.
3. Changing Magnification
Start with the lower power (20mm) eyepiece to locate and center your desired object. Once centered, switch to the higher power (10mm) eyepiece for a more detailed view. Remember that higher magnification often results in a dimmer image and a narrower field of view.

Figure 5: This image demonstrates the difference in magnification when using the 20mm eyepiece (35x magnification) versus the 10mm eyepiece (70x magnification) for lunar observation.
4. Using the Phone Adapter for Astrophotography
Attach your smartphone to the phone adapter and then attach the adapter to the eyepiece. Use your phone's camera to capture photos and videos through the telescope. Adjust the phone's position and zoom for the best results.

Figure 6: The telescope includes a phone adapter for capturing images and videos, and a phone holder for using star-finding applications to locate celestial objects.

Maintenance
- Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Gently wipe the lens surface. For stubborn smudges, use a small amount of optical cleaning fluid. Avoid touching the lens surfaces with your fingers.
- Cleaning the Telescope Body: Wipe the exterior of the telescope tube and mount with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: When not in use, store the telescope in a dry, dust-free environment. Keep all caps on the optical tube and eyepieces to prevent dust accumulation.

Figure 8: The telescope features a 90mm large aperture and multi-fully coated optical lenses, which require careful cleaning to maintain their superior optical performance.
Troubleshooting
- Image is blurry: Adjust the focus knob slowly. Ensure the eyepiece is fully inserted and secured. Check for condensation on the lenses.
- Cannot find objects: Ensure the finderscope is properly aligned with the main telescope. Start with the lowest magnification eyepiece.
- Image is dim: This is normal at higher magnifications or when observing faint objects. Ensure you are observing from a dark location away from light pollution.
- Telescope is unstable: Ensure the tripod legs are fully extended and locked, and the mount is securely attached to the tripod.
