5. Setup
5.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, ensure the multimeter is fully charged. Connect the included charging cable to the multimeter's charging port and a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
- The battery indicator on the display will show charging status.
- A full charge typically takes a few hours.
5.2 Connecting Test Leads
To perform measurements, connect the test leads to the appropriate input jacks:
- Insert the black test lead into the "COM" (Common) jack.
- Insert the red test lead into the "INPUT" jack for most measurements (voltage, resistance, etc.).
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Powering On/Off
Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a power symbol) to turn the multimeter on or off.
6.2 Automatic Measurement Mode
The Srliya S20 features an intelligent auto mode that simplifies measurements:
- Upon powering on, the meter defaults to "AUTO" mode.
- In "AUTO" mode, the multimeter automatically identifies the type of measurement (AC voltage, DC voltage, resistance) and selects the appropriate range.
- Simply connect the test leads to the circuit or component you wish to measure.
6.3 Reading the Display
The color LCD provides comprehensive information:
- The main large digits show the primary measurement value.
- Smaller digits may display secondary information like frequency.
- An analog bar graph provides a quick visual representation of the measured value.
- Polarity indication: A "-" symbol indicates negative polarity.
- "0L" or "-0L" indicates an overrange condition.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
Wipe the multimeter's casing with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the device is off and disconnected from any power source before cleaning.
7.2 Battery Care
- Recharge the battery when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
- For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% and store the device in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
7.3 Storage
When not in use, store the multimeter and its accessories in the provided storage bag to protect it from dust and physical damage. Store in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Multimeter does not power on. | Low or depleted battery. | Charge the multimeter using the provided USB cable. |
| Display shows "0L" or "-0L". | Measurement value exceeds the meter's range. | Ensure the measured value is within the specified limits (e.g., max 620V). |
| Inaccurate readings. | Damaged test leads; improper connection; external interference. | Check test leads for damage and ensure they are securely connected. Move away from strong electromagnetic fields. |
| Screen brightness reduces automatically. | Smart standby feature activated. | This is normal behavior to save battery. Any input or measurement will restore full brightness. |
