1. Introduction

3. Setup
3.1 Initial Console Setup
- Attach Joy-Cons: Slide the Joy-Con (L) onto the left side of the console and the Joy-Con (R) onto the right side until you hear a click.
- Power On: Press the POWER Button located on the top-left of the console.
- Follow On-Screen Instructions: The console will guide you through language selection, region settings, internet connection setup, and user profile creation.
3.2 TV Mode Setup
- Connect AC Adapter: Open the back cover of the Nintendo Switch Dock. Connect the AC adapter to the top port labeled "AC ADAPTER" and plug it into a wall outlet.
- Connect HDMI Cable: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the bottom port labeled "HDMI OUT" on the dock and the other end to an HDMI input on your television.
- Place Console in Dock: With the Joy-Cons attached or detached, slide the Nintendo Switch console into the dock, ensuring the screen faces forward. The console screen will turn off, and the display will appear on your TV.
- Select TV Input: Switch your TV's input to the HDMI port connected to the dock.

3.3 Charging the Console and Joy-Cons
- Console: Connect the AC adapter directly to the USB-C port on the bottom of the console, or place the console in the Nintendo Switch Dock while the dock is connected to the AC adapter.
- Joy-Cons: Joy-Cons charge automatically when attached to the console while the console itself is charging. They can also be charged using a Joy-Con Charging Grip (sold separately).
4. Operating the Nintendo Switch
4.1 Game Modes
- TV Mode: Play on your television by placing the console in the Nintendo Switch Dock. Use Joy-Cons detached or in the Joy-Con Grip.
- Handheld Mode: Play on the console's built-in screen with Joy-Cons attached. Ideal for portable gaming.
- Tabletop Mode: Detach the Joy-Cons and use the console's kickstand to prop it up on a flat surface. This allows for multiplayer gaming using the console's screen.

4.2 Using Joy-Con Controllers
- Attachment: Slide Joy-Cons onto the console or Joy-Con Grip until they click.
- Detachment: Press the small release button on the back of the Joy-Con and slide it upwards.
- Wrist Straps: Attach the Joy-Con strap accessories for added security during active gameplay. Ensure the + and - symbols on the strap match the Joy-Con.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the console, screen, and controllers. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
