  • G-Sensor Emergency Recording: Detects sudden impacts or collisions and automatically locks the current video footage to prevent overwriting, serving as crucial accident evidence.

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your mirror dash cam:

  1. Mount the Mirror Dash Cam: Secure the mirror dash cam over your existing rearview mirror using the provided bandages. Ensure it is firmly attached and does not obstruct your view.
  2. Install the Rear Camera: Mount the backup camera at the rear of your vehicle, typically above the license plate or on the rear window. Ensure it has a clear view.
  3. Connect the Rear Camera: Route the extended line from the rear camera to the main mirror dash cam. Connect the red wire of the extended line to your car's reverse light positive terminal to enable the reversing assist function.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord (car charger) into your car's cigarette lighter socket and connect the other end to the mirror dash cam.
  5. Insert SD Card: Insert the provided 32GB SD card into the designated slot on the dash cam. Ensure it is inserted correctly.
  6. Adjust Camera Angle: Once powered on, adjust the front camera lens angle to capture the desired view of the road ahead.

5. Operating Instructions

The dash cam is designed for user-friendly operation. Most functions are controlled via the touch screen.

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Automatic: The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts, and power off when the engine is turned off.
  • Manual: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the bottom or side of the mirror) to manually turn the device on or off.

5.2 Screen Display Modes

Swipe left or right on the touch screen to switch between different display modes:

  • Front Camera Only
  • Rear Camera Only
  • Front + Rear Split View
  • Rear + Front Split View
  • Front + Rear (Front large, Rear small inset)
  • Rear + Front (Rear large, Front small inset)

5.3 Menu Settings

Tap the screen to access the menu options. Use the touch interface to navigate and adjust settings such as:

  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures. Do not leave it in direct sunlight for extended periods in hot weather.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for firmware updates to improve performance and add new features.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your dash cam, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
