Setup

1. Initial Winding

Your automatic watch is powered by the motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped or is running low on power, it needs to be manually wound to initiate operation:

  1. Ensure the crown is in its normal, pushed-in position.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 20-30 times. You may hear a slight clicking sound. This provides enough power reserve to start the watch.
  3. Once started, wearing the watch regularly will keep it wound through your natural wrist movements.

2. Setting the Time

To set the time on your watch:

  1. Pull the crown out to its outermost position (position 2). The second hand may stop.
  2. Rotate the crown either clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
  3. Once the correct time is set, push the crown back into its normal position (position 0). The second hand will resume movement.

3. Adjusting the Strap

The stainless steel mesh strap features a deployment clasp for secure and comfortable wear. To adjust the length:

  1. Open the deployment clasp.
  2. Locate the small lever or clasp mechanism on the underside of the strap.
  3. Carefully lift the lever to unlock the adjustable part of the clasp.
  4. Slide the clasp along the mesh strap to achieve the desired fit.
  5. Press the lever back down firmly to secure the clasp in its new position. Ensure it clicks into place to prevent accidental loosening.

Operating Your Watch

Automatic Movement

This watch is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement. It does not require a battery. The movement is powered by the natural motion of your wrist. When worn daily, the watch will self-wind and maintain its power reserve. If the watch is not worn for an extended period (typically 36-40 hours), it may stop and will require manual winding as described in the 'Initial Winding' section.

Water Resistance

Your watch has a water resistance rating of 30 meters (3 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday wear and can withstand splashes, rain, or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, diving, or any water sports where it might be exposed to high-pressure water or prolonged submersion. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch:

  • Wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth regularly.
  • For the stainless steel strap, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • If the watch has been exposed to saltwater, rinse it gently with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Storage

When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. A watch box or pouch is recommended to protect it from dust and scratches.

Regular Servicing

Like any precision mechanical instrument, your automatic watch benefits from periodic professional servicing. It is recommended to have your watch inspected and serviced by an authorized watchmaker every 3-5 years to ensure optimal performance and water resistance integrity.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your watch, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Watch has stopped: Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise 20-30 times. Ensure it is worn regularly to maintain power reserve.
  • Time is inaccurate: Ensure the watch is fully wound. If it continues to be significantly inaccurate, it may require professional adjustment or servicing.
  • Condensation under crystal: This indicates a potential breach in water resistance. Immediately take the watch to a qualified watchmaker for inspection and repair to prevent further damage.
  • Strap feels loose/tight: Re-adjust the deployment clasp as described in the 'Adjusting the Strap' section.
