2. Important Safety Information

Before using the MLAY T17 device, it is crucial to understand and follow all safety instructions to prevent injury or damage. This device emits intense pulsed light, which can be harmful if not used correctly.

• Read the entire manual: Ensure you understand all instructions and warnings.
• Skin and Hair Type Compatibility: This device is effective on certain skin tones and hair colors. Refer to the skin tone chart in the "Operating Instructions" section. Do not use on very dark skin tones or very light/red/grey hair.
• Eye Protection: Always wear the provided protective glasses during treatment to shield your eyes from the intense light. Do not look directly into the light flash.
• Skin Preparation: Ensure skin is clean, dry, and free of lotions, gels, or deodorants before treatment. Shave the treatment area prior to use.
• Avoid Sensitive Areas: Do not use on nipples, genitals, or around the eyes. Consult a doctor before using on areas with tattoos, permanent makeup, moles, or birthmarks.

• Power Button: Long press to turn on/off. Short press to adjust energy level.

5. Setup and First Use

1. Unpack the Device: Carefully remove the MLAY T17 device and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Inspect for Damage: Check the device and power adapter for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
3. Clean the Device: Before first use, wipe the flash window with a soft, dry cloth. Place the device on the UV sterilization base to clean the lens.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Skin Tone and Hair Color Compatibility

The MLAY T17 IPL device is suitable for a wide range of skin tones and hair colors. However, it is not effective on very dark skin or very light (white/grey/red) hair. Refer to the chart below to determine if this device is suitable for you.

Note: The skin sensor light will automatically detect your skin tone and adjust the intensity. If your skin tone is too dark for safe treatment, the device will not flash.

6.2 Preparing the Skin

• Shave the area to be treated. Do not wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams, as these remove the hair follicle which is necessary for IPL treatment.
• Cleanse the skin thoroughly and ensure it is completely dry and free of any creams, lotions, or oils.

6.3 Power On and Energy Level Selection

1. Plug in the device and put on your protective glasses.
2. Long press the Power Button (⏻) to turn on the device. The indicator lights will illuminate.
3. Short press the Power Button (⏻) repeatedly to cycle through the 3 energy levels. Start with Level 1 for your first treatment and gradually increase if comfortable.
4. Press the Cooling Button (❄) to activate the intelligent cooling function. The cooling indicator light will turn on.

6.4 Selecting Operating Mode (Auto/Manual)

The MLAY T17 offers two modes:

• Manual Mode: Ideal for small, sensitive, or precise areas like the face, armpits, or bikini line. To activate, short press the Multifunction Button (Ⓢ). Press the flash window firmly against your skin and press the flash button to emit a single flash.
• Automatic Mode: Suitable for larger body areas such as arms, legs, and back. To activate, long press the Multifunction Button (Ⓢ). Place the flash window firmly on your skin and glide the device slowly over the treatment area. The device will automatically emit continuous flashes.

6.5 Treatment Procedure

1. Ensure your skin is prepared as described in section 6.2.
2. Select the appropriate energy level and mode.
3. Place the flash window completely flat against the skin. The device will detect your skin tone and the indicator light will turn green, signifying it's ready to flash.
4. For Manual Mode, press the flash button. For Automatic Mode, glide the device slowly over the skin.
5. Move to the next adjacent area. Avoid overlapping flashes on the same spot too frequently.
6. After completing the treatment, long press the Power Button (⏻) to turn off the device.

7. Maintenance and Storage

• Cleaning: After each use, ensure the device is turned off and unplugged. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the flash window and the device body. For enhanced hygiene, place the device on its UV sterilization base after cleaning.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children.
• Transportation: When transporting, use the original packaging or a protective case to prevent damage.
