2. Setup and Initial Preparation
2.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Upon receiving your VIDA V2 Plus, carefully unpack it and inspect for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all components listed in the packing list are present.
2.2 Battery Installation and Initial Charge
The VIDA V2 Plus is equipped with two removable batteries. Before first use, ensure both batteries are fully charged.
- Locate the battery compartments, typically under the seat.
- Insert the batteries securely into their designated slots.
- Connect the 5A portable charger to a standard power outlet and then to the scooter's charging port or directly to the removable batteries.
- The charging time from 0-80% is approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes.

2.3 Mobile App and Connectivity
The VIDA V2 Plus features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Download the official VIDA mobile application to pair with your scooter for smart features and updates. Ensure your scooter's firmware is up-to-date via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) updates for optimal performance.

3.1 Starting the Scooter and Keyless Entry
The scooter features keyless entry. To start, ensure the key fob is within range and press the power button. Refer to the specific instructions provided with your key fob for detailed operation.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Care
- Always use the official VIDA charger.
- Avoid fully discharging the batteries frequently.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place if removed for extended periods.
- You can ride on one battery while charging the other.

It is advised that the purchaser avails all free and paid services from a HERO MotoCorp authorized workshop as per the recommended schedule to be eligible for warranty benefits. Each paid service should be in multiples of 15,000 km or 1 year, whichever occurs earlier from the date of invoice, not based on the previous service date or kilometers covered.
4.3 General Cleaning
Clean the scooter regularly with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid using high-pressure water jets directly on electrical components.
4.4 Tire Maintenance
Regularly check tire pressure and tread depth. The recommended tire sizes are 90/90 - 12” for the front and 100/80 – 12” for the rear.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your VIDA V2 Plus, refer to the following general guidelines. For complex problems, contact an authorized service center.
- Scooter not starting: Ensure batteries are charged and properly installed. Check the keyless entry system.
- Reduced range: Verify tire pressure, riding mode (Eco mode provides maximum range), and battery health.
- Charging issues: Check charger connections and power source. Ensure the charger is functioning correctly.
- Software/Connectivity problems: Ensure your mobile app is updated and the scooter's firmware is current via FOTA. Restarting the scooter and the mobile app can resolve minor glitches.
If any problem is observed in your VIDA vehicle, HERO MotoCorp's only obligation/liability is to repair or replace, free of cost, the part(s) considered to be the cause of such problem, provided it has not resulted from misuse or improper handling.

7. Warranty Information
To be eligible for warranty benefits, the purchaser must avail all free and paid services from a HERO MotoCorp authorized workshop as per the recommended schedule. Each paid service should occur in multiples of 15,000 km or 1 year, whichever comes earlier from the date of invoice, and not based on the previous service date or kilometers covered.
If any problem is observed in your VIDA vehicle, HERO MotoCorp's only obligation/liability is to repair or replace, free of cost, the part(s) which is/are considered to be the cause of such problem. This warranty is valid provided that such a problem has not resulted due to misuse, improper handling, or unauthorized modifications of the vehicle. All replaced parts under this warranty will become the property of the company.

For any service or support needs, please contact an authorized HERO MotoCorp VIDA workshop. Any VIDA vehicle needing repair should be brought along with the owner's manual to the authorized workshop for necessary inspection and rectification.
