Installation Steps (General)
- Prepare the Cabinet: Ensure the cabinet opening matches the hood's dimensions (52 cm width, 28 cm depth, 13 cm height).
- Secure the Hood: Mount the cooker hood securely into the cabinet using the provided screws and brackets.
- Connect Electrical Supply: Connect the hood to a suitable electrical outlet, ensuring it is properly grounded.
- Choose Ventilation Mode: Decide between ducted extraction or recirculation.
Ducted Extraction Mode
In ducted mode, air is extracted from the kitchen and expelled outside the building through a ducting system.
- Attach a 120mm diameter ducting hose to the exhaust outlet of the hood.
- Route the ducting to an external vent, ensuring minimal bends for optimal airflow.
- Ensure the ducting is sealed to prevent air leaks.

Recirculation Mode
In recirculation mode, air is filtered through a charcoal filter to remove odors and then returned to the kitchen. This mode requires the installation of a CBCF005 charcoal filter (not included).
- Install the CBCF005 charcoal filter onto the motor housing as per the filter's instructions.
- Ensure the air outlet is not connected to external ducting.
- The filtered air will be released back into the kitchen through vents in the cabinet.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your cooker hood. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.
Cleaning the Grease Filters
The metallic grease filters trap grease particles from cooking fumes. They should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to maintain efficiency and prevent fire hazards.

Figure 5.1: Grease filter mechanism.
- Release the filter latch and remove the grease filters from the hood.
- Wash the filters by hand in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher on a low-temperature cycle.
- Ensure filters are completely dry before re-installing.
- Re-install the filters, ensuring they are securely latched.
Replacing the Charcoal Filter (Recirculation Mode Only)
The CBCF005 charcoal filter removes odors from the air in recirculation mode. It cannot be washed and must be replaced every 3-6 months, depending on usage.
- Remove the grease filters to access the charcoal filter.
- Twist or unclip the old charcoal filter from the motor housing.
- Install a new CBCF005 charcoal filter, ensuring it is correctly secured.
- Re-install the grease filters.
Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior surfaces of the hood with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaners.
