3.2 Adjusting the Torque Value
- Unlock: Slide down the locking ring on the handle to unlock the adjustment mechanism.
- Adjust: Rotate the handle to set the desired torque value. The scale is laser-engraved for clear readability. The handle swivels 360 degrees for easy adjustment.
- Lock: Slide up the locking ring to secure the set torque value. Ensure the handle is locked before applying torque.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Applying Torque
- Ensure the correct bit/socket is attached and the desired torque value is set and locked.
- Place the wrench onto the fastener.
- Apply steady, increasing force to the wrench handle in a clockwise direction (for standard right-hand threads). The ratchet head is reversible for counter-clockwise operation, but torque measurement is typically for clockwise tightening.
- Continue applying force until you hear and feel a distinct "click" from the wrench. This indicates that the preset torque value has been reached.
- Immediately stop applying force once the click is detected. Do not continue to tighten the fastener beyond this point, as it will result in over-tightening and potential damage.

4.2 Torque Feedback
The wrench provides both an audible "click" and a tactile feedback when the set torque is reached. At lower torque values (1-3 Nm), the click sound may be quieter. For optimal performance, use the wrench in a quiet environment and pay close attention to the tactile feedback.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning and Storage
- After each use, wipe the torque wrench clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
- Store the wrench in its protective case in a dry, clean environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Important: Always reset the torque wrench to its lowest setting (1 Nm) before storing it. This relieves tension on the internal spring mechanism and helps maintain calibration accuracy over time.
5.2 Calibration
Your Uharbour torque wrench is factory calibrated and comes with a unique serial number and calibration certificate. For continued accuracy, it is recommended to have the torque wrench re-calibrated by a qualified service center after 12 months of use or approximately 5000 cycles, whichever comes first.

6. Troubleshooting
- No audible click at low torque settings (1-3 Nm): This is normal due to the mechanical principle of the torque wrench. Rely on the tactile feedback and use in a quiet environment.
- Inconsistent torque readings: Ensure the wrench is clean, properly stored, and reset to the lowest setting after each use. If issues persist, consider re-calibration.
- Difficulty adjusting torque: Ensure the locking ring is fully disengaged (slid down) before attempting to rotate the handle.
