Model: 21 Cubic Feet

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the LILTSDRAE 21 Cubic Feet Car Rooftop Cargo Carrier Bag. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective installation, operation, and maintenance of your cargo carrier. Designed for durability and weather protection, this bag offers significant additional storage for your vehicle, ensuring your belongings remain secure and dry during travel.

Please read these instructions thoroughly before first use and retain them for future reference.

Safety Guidelines

  • Do not exceed vehicle's maximum roof load capacity. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual for specific limits.
  • Ensure all straps are securely fastened before driving. Regularly check strap tension during long trips.
  • Distribute weight evenly inside the cargo bag to maintain vehicle stability. Place heavier items at the bottom and center.
  • Avoid overloading the bag. The maximum capacity is 21 cubic feet.
  • Drive at reduced speeds, especially in strong winds, during heavy rain, or on uneven terrain, when the cargo bag is installed.
  • Be aware of increased vehicle height when the cargo bag is installed, especially when entering garages, car washes, or low-clearance areas.
  • This is a soft roof carrier. Do not attach front and rear straps to side bars during installation to prevent tearing.

Installation Instructions

The LILTSDRAE cargo carrier is designed for universal fit on vehicles with or without roof racks.

Preparation:

  1. Clean the vehicle's roof surface where the cargo bag will be placed.
  2. Place the provided anti-slip mat on the vehicle's roof. This helps prevent the bag from shifting and protects your car's paint.
  3. Position the empty cargo bag on top of the anti-slip mat.

Method 1: Installation with Roof Racks

If your vehicle has existing roof racks (side rails or crossbars):

  1. Load your items into the cargo bag before securing it to the racks.
  2. Thread the cargo bag's integrated straps through your vehicle's roof rack crossbars or around the side rails.
  3. Fasten the buckles and tighten all straps securely. Ensure the bag is centered and stable.
  4. Use the two extra straps provided for additional security, if desired, by wrapping them around the bag and roof racks.

Method 2: Installation without Roof Racks (Using Door Hooks)

If your vehicle does not have roof racks:

  1. Load your items into the cargo bag before securing it.
  2. Open your vehicle's doors. Carefully pull back the weatherstripping seal around the door frame.
  3. Place one of the provided door hooks onto the metal doorframe.
  4. Gently pop the weatherstripping seal back into place, ensuring it covers the hook's strap. Close the door.
  5. Repeat this process for all 6 door hooks (one for each door, and additional hooks for the front/rear if applicable, ensuring even distribution).
  6. Connect the cargo bag's integrated straps to the loops of the door hooks.
  7. Tighten all straps evenly and securely. Ensure the bag is centered and stable.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the cargo bag with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage.
