5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before starting.
- Prepare for Installation: Turn off power at the main circuit breaker or fuse box. Ensure the power is completely off before proceeding.
- Remove Mounting Unit: Rotate the light fixture to unfasten and remove the mounting unit from the main body of the light.
- Install Mounting Unit: Secure the mounting unit to the junction box in your ceiling using the provided mounting screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Connect Wires: Carefully connect the electrical wires. Use the provided wire nuts to connect the green (ground) wire, black (live) wire, and white (neutral) wire from the fixture to the corresponding wires from your electrical supply. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Attach Fixture: Align the light fixture with the installed mounting unit. Attach the fixture to the mounting unit using the provided bolts and plastic washers. Tighten the bolts securely to hold the fixture in place.
- Apply Sealant (Outdoor Use): For outdoor installations, apply clear silicone water sealant (not supplied) around the outside perimeter of the fixture canopy where it meets the mounting surface. This helps prevent water ingress.
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions: Smart Lighting Modes
Your Slypadan ceiling light features a motion sensor and offers four smart lighting modes to suit various needs. The mode selection dial is located on the side of the fixture.

Mode Selection:
- Auto Mode:
The light will turn on when motion is detected during nighttime hours. It will remain on for a duration of 5 to 180 seconds (adjustable via the "Timer" dial) after motion ceases. This mode is ideal for energy-saving security lighting.

- DTD (Dusk-to-Dawn) Mode:
The light will automatically turn on at dusk and remain on until dawn. This mode provides consistent illumination throughout the night.

- Manual Override Mode:
To activate this mode, quickly toggle your external wall switch OFF-ON. The light will stay on for 5.5 hours, then automatically turn off at dawn and revert to Auto Mode. This is useful for temporary continuous lighting.
- ON Mode:
In this mode, the light fixture provides constant illumination day and night. It is controlled directly by your external wall switch, offering maximum flexibility for continuous lighting.
Adjusting Settings:
- Timer Dial: Adjusts the duration the light stays on after motion detection in Auto Mode (5 seconds to 180 seconds).
- Sensitivity Dial: Adjusts the motion sensor's sensitivity (Low, Medium, High) to detect movement within its 9-30 ft range.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your light fixture.
- Cleaning: Clean the fixture periodically with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or plastic shade. Ensure power is off before cleaning.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture for any signs of damage, loose wiring, or wear. If any issues are found, disconnect power and consult a qualified electrician.
- LEDs: The integrated LED chips are designed for a long lifespan (over 5 years) and are not user-replaceable.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your light fixture, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
