Introduction
This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your ASUS 14" FHD Laptop. Please read this guide thoroughly to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your device.

Setup
1. Initial Power-On
- Connect Power Adapter: Plug the power adapter into the laptop's power port and then into a wall outlet.
- Open the Laptop: Gently lift the display lid.
- Power On: Press the power button, usually located on the top-right of the keyboard.
- Follow On-Screen Instructions: Complete the Windows 11 Home setup process, including language, region, network connection, and user account creation.
2. Windows 11 S Mode
Your laptop comes with Windows 11 Home in S mode, which is designed for security and performance by exclusively running apps from the Microsoft Store. If you require applications outside the Microsoft Store, you can switch out of S mode. This is a one-way switch.
- To switch out of S mode, go to Settings > System > Activation. In the "Switch to Windows 11 Home" section, select Go to the Store. On the page that appears, select the Get button.
Operating Your Laptop
1. Keyboard and Touchpad
The laptop features a full-size keyboard and a responsive touchpad for navigation. The touchpad supports multi-touch gestures for enhanced control.

2. Display
The 14-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS LED display offers clear visuals. Adjust brightness using the function keys (Fn + F5/F6) or through Windows settings.
3. Webcam and Microphone
A 720p HD webcam and integrated microphone are located above the display, suitable for video calls and online meetings.
4. Audio
The laptop includes integrated speakers. For private listening, connect headphones to the 3.5mm audio combo jack.
Connectivity
Your ASUS laptop provides various ports for connecting peripherals and external displays.
- USB-A 2.0: One port for connecting older USB devices.
- USB-A 3.2: One port for faster data transfer with compatible USB devices.

Maintenance
- Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Cleaning the Keyboard/Chassis: Use a soft, dry cloth. A can of compressed air can remove debris from between keys.
- Software Updates: Regularly update Windows and drivers to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose the laptop to direct sunlight or extreme hot/cold environments.
Troubleshooting
- Laptop Not Turning On: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the battery has sufficient charge. Try holding the power button for 15-20 seconds for a hard reset.
- Slow Performance: Close unnecessary applications, check for Windows updates, and ensure sufficient free storage space.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues: Restart your router and laptop. Check network settings in Windows to ensure Wi-Fi is enabled and connected to the correct network.
- Display Problems: If the screen is blank, try connecting an external monitor via HDMI to check if the issue is with the laptop's display or graphics.
