5. Setup

5.1 Battery Charging

Before first use, fully charge both batteries. The charger is designed to charge two batteries simultaneously.

  1. Connect the charger to a standard 110-220V power outlet.
  2. Insert the batteries into the charging ports on the charger.
  3. The indicator lights on the charger will show the charging status. Charging typically takes 1-2 hours.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the batteries from the charger and unplug the charger from the outlet.

5.2 Battery Installation

To install a charged battery into the pruning shears:

  1. Ensure the pruning shears are turned off.
  2. Align the battery with the battery slot at the base of the pruner handle.
  3. Slide the battery firmly into place until it clicks, indicating it is securely locked.

5.3 Attaching the Telescopic Pole

The telescopic pole allows for extended reach when pruning high branches.

  1. Ensure the pruning shears are turned off and the battery is removed.
  2. Locate the attachment point on the bottom of the pruner handle and the top of the telescopic pole.
  3. Connect the pruner to the pole, ensuring a secure fit. Follow any specific locking mechanisms or screws provided.
  4. Insert the battery into the designated slot on the telescopic pole's handle.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the pruning shears, press and hold the power button until the LCD screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen turns off.

6.2 Pruning Operation

Once powered on, the blades will be in a ready position. To cut a branch:

  1. Position the open blades around the branch you wish to cut. Ensure the branch is within the maximum cutting diameter (up to 40mm for optimal performance).
  2. Press the trigger firmly to close the blades and cut the branch.
  3. Release the trigger to allow the blades to open for the next cut.
  4. Avoid forcing the blades through branches thicker than recommended, as this can damage the tool.

6.3 Using the Telescopic Pole

The telescopic pole extends your reach for high branches.

  1. Adjust the pole to the desired length (1.3m to 2.1m) by loosening the locking mechanism, extending the pole, and then securely tightening it.
  2. Hold the pole firmly with both hands.
  3. Carefully maneuver the pruner to the branch. Use the trigger on the pole's handle to operate the shears.
  4. Maintain a stable stance and be aware of falling branches.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Blade Cleaning and Oiling
