5.2 Pedal-Assist and Throttle Modes
- Pedal-Assist (PAS): The V8 PRO offers multiple levels of pedal assistance. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to cycle through assistance levels (typically 1-5). Higher levels provide more motor assistance.
- Throttle: For full electric power without pedaling, engage the thumb throttle. The throttle provides instant acceleration up to the maximum speed allowed by the current pedal-assist level or full speed if no pedal-assist is selected.
5.3 Shimano 7-Speed Gear System
The Shimano 7-speed derailleur allows you to adjust your pedaling effort to match terrain and desired speed. Use the shifter on the handlebar to change gears. Shift to lower gears (1-3) for easier pedaling uphill or starting, and higher gears (5-7) for faster speeds on flat terrain.
