2. Safety Instructions
Operating a gasoline generator requires strict adherence to safety guidelines to prevent serious injury or property damage. Always follow these instructions:
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide (CO), an odorless, colorless, and deadly gas. NEVER operate the generator indoors, in garages, sheds, or any enclosed or partially enclosed areas. Always operate outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far from windows, doors, and vents.
- Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable.
- Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool.
- Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator or fuel.
- Store gasoline in an approved container in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources.
- Electrical Shock Hazard:
- Do not operate the generator in wet conditions (rain, snow, high humidity).
- Ensure all electrical connections are secure and dry.
- Use only grounded extension cords rated for outdoor use and appropriate for the load.
- Never connect the generator directly to a building's electrical system without a qualified electrician installing a transfer switch. Backfeeding can electrocute utility workers.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact to prevent burns.
- Moving Parts: Keep hands, feet, hair, and clothing away from moving parts to prevent entanglement.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE, such as gloves and eye protection, when performing maintenance.

4. Setup and First Use
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the generator from its packaging.
- Inspect for any shipping damage. Contact your dealer immediately if damage is found.
- Ensure all included components (generator, manual) are present.
4.2 Adding Engine Oil
The generator is shipped without engine oil. Operating without oil will cause severe engine damage.
- Place the generator on a level surface.
- Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.
- Add recommended engine oil (refer to specifications for type and capacity) slowly until the oil level reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Replace the dipstick securely.
4.3 Adding Fuel
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use E85 or mixed fuels.
- Ensure the generator is off and cool.
- Move the generator to a well-ventilated outdoor area for refueling.
- Unscrew the fuel cap.
- Carefully pour gasoline into the fuel tank, avoiding spills. Do not fill above the fuel filter screen.
- Securely replace the fuel cap. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.
4.4 Battery Connection (for Electric Start)
For models with electric start, connect the battery terminals.
- Locate the battery (typically near the engine).
- Connect the positive (+) battery cable (red) to the positive (+) terminal on the battery.
- Connect the negative (-) battery cable (black) to the negative (-) terminal on the battery.
- Ensure connections are tight and secure.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Pre-Start Checks
- Check engine oil level.
- Check fuel level.
- Ensure all electrical loads are disconnected from the generator outlets.
- Verify the generator is on a level, stable surface outdoors, away from combustible materials.
5.2 Starting the Generator
Recoil Start:
- Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
- Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position (if engine is cold).
- Pull the recoil starter handle slowly until resistance is felt, then pull firmly and quickly.
- Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
Electric Start:
- Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
- Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position (if engine is cold).
- Press and hold the electric start button until the engine starts. Do not hold for more than 5 seconds.
- Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
5.3 Connecting Electrical Loads
Allow the generator to run for a few minutes to warm up before connecting electrical devices.
- Plug in appliances one at a time, starting with the highest wattage device.
- Do not overload the generator. The total wattage of connected devices must not exceed the generator's rated output (2.5kW).
- Monitor the voltmeter on the control panel to ensure stable voltage.
5.4 Stopping the Generator
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator outlets.
- Allow the generator to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
- Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
- Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position (if applicable).
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and reliable performance of your generator. Always ensure the engine is off and cool before performing any maintenance.
6.1 Maintenance Schedule
