4. Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the lock's functionality and security. Ensure your door meets the specified thickness requirements (10-12mm for glass doors) and door seam (4-8mm).

4.1. Selecting the Correct Lock Type

The installation method varies based on your door type. Refer to the following guidelines:

  • Glass Wall Single Opening: Select a double door lock. Requires glass door thickness of 10-12mm and a door seam of 4-8mm.
  • Single Door Selector (Glass): Requires glass door thickness of 10-12mm and a door seam of 4-8mm.
  • Frameless Double Glazed Door: Select a double door lock. Requires glass door thickness of 10-12mm and a door seam of 4-8mm. Match the latch for optimal use.
  • Framed Glass Doors: Requires drilling holes for installation. The width of the metal frame should be more than 50mm, and the metal frame inside needs to be mostly hollow.

4.2. Frameless Glass Door Installation

  1. Clean the glass surface and draw a horizontal reference line at the appropriate height where the lock will be installed. Ensure the intention is inside the door.
  2. Remove the adhesive backing from the glue board and firmly press it against the glass, aligning it above the horizontal reference line. The rubber sheet must be glued indoors.
  3. Push the U-shaped clamp into the side of the glass door. Secure it by screwing four fixing screws on both the main and secondary lock units.
  4. Install the battery rear cover and the sub-lock rear cover.

  2. Open holes in the area marked 'X' on the side strip and fix the four fixing holes with screws or rivets.

5.1. App Connection (TY APP)

  1. Download the 'TY APP' from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Create an account and log in.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your smart lock. This typically involves putting the lock into pairing mode and connecting it to your home WiFi network.

5.2. User Registration

Register fingerprints, passwords, and IC cards through the lock's interface or the connected app.

  • Fingerprint Registration: Follow the voice prompts on the lock or app instructions to scan your fingerprint multiple times for accurate recognition. The lock uses self-learning algorithms for improved flexibility and can recognize both dry and wet fingers. Live fingerprint detection prevents replication.
  • Password Registration: Set a secure numerical password. The lock supports virtual passwords to prevent unauthorized viewing during entry.
  • IC Card Registration: Present the IC card to the designated sensor on the lock to register it for access.
