4. Safety Precautions

5. Setup
5.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the Sharmeal GL985 Jump Starter. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the 'Input' port on the device and to a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The intelligent screen display will show the charging progress. A full charge is indicated by 100% on the display.
5.2 Powering On/Off
Press the power button on the unit to turn it on. The display will illuminate, showing the current battery percentage. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn the unit off.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Jump Starting Your Vehicle
- Ensure the jump starter is fully charged (100% recommended).
- Connect the smart jumper cables to the jump starter unit. Ensure a secure connection. The indicator light on the smart cable will blink green and red, indicating it's ready for connection to the car battery.
- Attach the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's battery.
- Attach the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal of your vehicle's battery.
- Once connected correctly, the indicator light on the smart cable will turn solid green. If it blinks red and beeps, check for incorrect connection or a short circuit.
- If the vehicle battery is extremely low, press the 'BOOST' button on the smart cable connector. The indicator light will turn solid green, providing maximum current for 30 seconds.
- Start your vehicle's engine.
- Once the engine starts, immediately remove the smart jumper cables from the vehicle battery, then disconnect them from the jump starter unit.

6.2 Using as a Portable Power Bank
The Sharmeal GL985 features dual USB-A output ports (5V/2A) to charge your electronic devices.
- Turn on the jump starter unit.
- Connect your device's USB charging cable to one of the USB output ports on the jump starter.
- The jump starter will automatically begin charging your device.

6.3 Using the LED Light
The built-in 400 lumen LED light has three modes:
- Flashlight: Press and hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds to turn on the flashlight.
- Strobe Light: With the flashlight on, short press the power button once to switch to strobe mode.
- SOS Light: With the strobe light on, short press the power button once more to switch to SOS mode.
- To turn off the light, short press the power button again from SOS mode, or press and hold the power button for 3 seconds from any light mode.

7. Charging the Sharmeal GL985
To charge the jump starter, use the provided Type-C charging cable. Connect one end to the 'Input' port on the jump starter and the other end to a compatible USB wall adapter (not included).
