4. Setup Guide
4.1 Physical Placement
- Soundbar: Place the soundbar centrally below your TV, ensuring it is on a stable surface and not obstructing the TV's remote sensor.
- Subwoofer: Position the wired subwoofer on the floor, ideally in a corner or near a wall for optimal bass response. Ensure it is within reach of the soundbar's connection cable.

4.2 Connecting Your Soundbar
The soundbar offers several connection options. Choose the one that best suits your TV and other devices.

- HDMI eARC/ARC (Recommended for Dolby Digital):
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI (eARC/ARC) port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end to the HDMI (eARC/ARC) port on your TV.
- This connection allows for high-quality audio transmission and TV remote control integration.

- Optical (Digital Audio):
- Connect one end of the Optical cable to the OPTICAL port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end to the Optical Digital Audio Out port on your TV.
- AUX (Analog Audio):
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX cable to the AUX port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end to the 3.5mm Audio Out (Headphone) port on your TV or device.
- Bluetooth:
- Power on the soundbar and select Bluetooth mode (BT).
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or other device.
- Search for "GEOYEAO Soundbar" (or similar) in your device's Bluetooth settings and pair.

- Subwoofer Connection:
- Connect the wired subwoofer to the dedicated subwoofer output port on the soundbar using the provided cable.
4.3 Initial Power On
- Connect the power adapter to the soundbar's DC IN port and then to a power outlet.
- Press the power button on the soundbar or remote control to turn it on.
- The LED display on the soundbar will indicate the current input mode.
4.4 TV Sound Settings
To optimize your soundbar's performance, adjust your TV's audio settings. Exact menu names may vary by TV brand.

- Set Audio Output to "Dolby Digital": For 5.1 Surround Sound (if supported by your content and TV). This ensures perfect compatibility and immersive sound. (TV Settings > Sound > Digital Audio Out > Select "Dolby Digital")
- Switch to "PCM" for Stereo Content: For music and older content, PCM prevents audio issues and provides clean, uncompressed stereo sound. (TV Settings > Sound > Digital Audio Out > Select "PCM")
- Enable "Passthrough Mode": For pure, unprocessed audio, bypassing TV processing that might degrade sound quality. (Look for "Passthrough" or "Bitstream" in TV audio settings)
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Remote Control Functions
The included remote control allows full command over your soundbar's features.

- Power Button: Turns the soundbar on or off.
- Mute Button: Mutes or unmutes the sound.
- Mode Button: Cycles through input modes (HDMI, Optical, AUX, Bluetooth).
- Volume +/-: Adjusts the master volume.
- Play/Pause, Skip: Controls media playback in Bluetooth mode.
- TREBLE +/-: Adjusts treble levels.
- EQ Button: Cycles through DSP sound modes (Movie, Music, News).
- BASS +/-: Adjusts bass levels.
- BT Button: Switches to Bluetooth mode.
- 3D Button: Activates/deactivates 3D surround sound effect.
5.2 On-Unit Controls
Basic controls are also available directly on the soundbar unit.

6. Maintenance
