Operating Instructions

Cooking Rice or Grains

  1. Using the provided measuring cup, measure the desired amount of rice or grains. Rinse rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  2. Place the rinsed rice/grains into the inner pot.
  3. Add the appropriate amount of water according to the water lines inside the inner pot or your recipe. For example, for 2 cups of white rice, fill to the '2' line for white rice.
  4. Close the lid securely.
  5. Press the 'White Rice' or 'Brown Rice' button. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate, and the cooker will begin cooking.
  6. Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode. The 'Keep Warm' indicator will illuminate.
  7. For best results, allow rice to rest on 'Keep Warm' for 5-10 minutes before serving. Stir with the rice paddle to fluff.

Slow Cook Function

The 2-quart capacity inner pot can be used for slow cooking stews, chili, and other dishes.

  1. Add ingredients for your slow cook recipe to the inner pot.
  2. Close the lid securely.
  3. Press the 'Slow Cook' button. The 'Slow Cook' indicator light will illuminate.
  4. The cooker will automatically set a default slow cook time. Refer to your recipe for specific cooking times.
  5. Once the slow cook cycle is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode.

Steaming Foods

The steam tray allows for steaming vegetables, meats, or other items.

  1. Add approximately 1-2 cups of water to the inner pot.
  2. Place the steam tray into the inner pot.
  3. Arrange food evenly on the steam tray.
  4. Close the lid securely.
  5. Press the 'Steam' button. The 'Steam' indicator light will illuminate.
  6. Monitor food for desired doneness. The steam function does not have an automatic shut-off based on time; you must manually stop it by pressing the 'Keep Warm/Cancel' button.
  7. Carefully remove the steam tray using oven mitts to avoid burns.

Using the Egg Bite Mold (AAC-001)

The silicone egg bite mold can be used to create up to four 1.5-inch egg bites, either by steaming in the rice cooker or using a microwave.

  1. Prepare your egg bite mixture (e.g., whisked eggs, cheese, vegetables).
  2. Pour the mixture into the four cavities of the silicone egg bite mold. Do not overfill.
  3. For Steaming in Rice Cooker:
    • Place the filled egg bite mold directly onto the steam tray inside the rice cooker.
    • Follow the 'Steaming Foods' instructions above. Steaming time will vary based on ingredients, typically 10-15 minutes.
  4. For Microwave Use:
    • Place the filled egg bite mold in the microwave.
    • Microwave on high for 1-3 minutes, or until egg bites are set. Cooking times vary by microwave.
  5. Once cooked, carefully remove the mold. Allow to cool slightly before gently pushing the egg bites out from the bottom.
  6. Use the included storage lid to store leftover egg bites in the refrigerator or freezer.

Delay Timer Function

The 15-hour delay timer allows you to program the cooker to start at a later time.

  1. Add ingredients (rice/grains and water) to the inner pot.
  2. Close the lid securely.
  3. Press the 'Delay Timer' button. The display will show '0:00'.
  4. Press the 'Hour' and 'Minute' buttons to adjust the desired delay time. The maximum delay is 15 hours.
  5. After setting the delay time, press the desired cooking function button (e.g., 'White Rice', 'Brown Rice', 'Slow Cook'). The delay timer will count down, and then the cooker will automatically begin the selected cooking cycle.

Keep Warm Function

The cooker automatically switches to 'Keep Warm' mode after most cooking cycles are complete, keeping food at an optimal serving temperature.

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and proper functioning of your appliance.

  1. Always unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Inner Pot, Steam Tray, Rice Paddle, Measuring Cup, Egg Bite Mold & Lid: Wash in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. These parts are top-rack dishwasher safe.
  3. Main Unit: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
