The BMS automatically manages charging and discharging to protect the battery from over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature conditions. For detailed operation modes and settings, refer to the comprehensive user manual provided by EPEVER.
7. Maintenance
The EPEVER LiFePO4 battery requires minimal maintenance due to its robust design and integrated BMS. However, regular checks can help ensure its longevity:
- Visual Inspection: Periodically inspect the battery for any signs of physical damage, loose connections, or corrosion.
- Temperature: Ensure the battery operates within its specified temperature range (Charge: 0°C ~ +55°C / Discharge: -20°C ~ 60°C). Extreme temperatures can affect performance and lifespan.
- Cleaning: Keep the battery clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
- Connection Checks: Verify that all electrical connections remain tight and secure.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EPEVER LiFePO4 battery, consider the following basic troubleshooting steps:
- No Power Output: Check all cable connections for tightness and correct polarity. Verify that the inverter/charger is functioning correctly. Check the battery's LCD display for any error codes or low voltage warnings.
- Battery Not Charging: Ensure the charging source (solar panels, grid charger) is active and providing the correct voltage. Check the charger's status indicators. Verify communication settings if using a smart charger.
- Unusual Noise or Smell: Immediately disconnect the battery from all power sources and contact technical support. Do not attempt to operate the battery.
- LCD Display Not Working: Check the battery's main power switch or circuit breaker. If the battery is completely discharged, it may need a small charge to activate the display.
For more complex issues or error codes displayed on the LCD, refer to the detailed troubleshooting section in the full product manual or contact EPEVER technical support.
