4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, connect the keyboard to a USB power source using the provided USB-C cable. The smart display will indicate charging status. A full charge ensures optimal wireless performance.

4.2 Power On/Off

Locate the power switch, usually on the back or side of the keyboard. Toggle it to the 'ON' position to power on the keyboard. The smart display will activate.

5.1 Smart Display & Knob Functions

Push Button Functions:
1. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the keyboard ON/OFF.

5.2 Tri-Mode Connection

The KZZI Z98 supports three connection modes: Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired.

5.2.1 Bluetooth (BT) Connectivity

The keyboard can store up to three Bluetooth devices (BT1, BT2, BT3).

Plug the receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
Use the toggle switch on the keyboard to select the 2.4G icon on the smart display.
Press the push button. The display will show "2.4G linking" or "2.4G success" once connected.
If pairing is needed (e.g., first time or re-connection), press and hold the push button until "2.4G pairing" appears, then insert the receiver. The display will confirm "2.4G success".

5.2.3 USB-C Wired Connection

For a stable, low-latency connection, use the USB-C wired mode.

Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to your computer's USB port.
The keyboard will automatically switch to wired mode.
