Operating Instructions

Aspect Ratio Switching:

The adapter features a switch to toggle between 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. This allows you to choose the display mode that best suits your preference or the original game's intended aspect ratio.

To change the aspect ratio, locate the small switch on the side of the adapter and slide it to your desired setting (4:3 or 16:9). You may need to briefly power cycle your console or switch inputs on your TV for the change to take effect.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
No video signal on TV.
  • Ensure the adapter is fully inserted into the console's multi-out port.
  • Verify the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the adapter and the TV.
  • Check that your TV is set to the correct HDMI input source.
  • Confirm the console is powered on.
  • The adapter's Power LED should be illuminated. If not, check connections.
Image is distorted or stretched.
  • Adjust the 4:3/16:9 aspect ratio switch on the adapter. For original display, select 4:3.
  • Check your TV's aspect ratio settings. Some TVs may have their own scaling options.
No audio.
  • Ensure the HDMI cable is fully connected.
  • Check your TV's audio settings and volume.
Image quality is poor (e.g., combing artifacts on GameCube).
  • This adapter processes analog signals. While it upscales to 720P, the original signal quality from older consoles (especially interlaced signals from GameCube DOL-101 models) can affect the final output.
  • Ensure your console's video output settings are optimal (e.g., S-Video if available and supported by the console). The adapter automatically recognizes S-Video and Composite.
