The LinkSun A221-2 is an automatic digital upper arm blood pressure monitor designed for home use. It features a large LCD screen for easy reading and a one-button operation for convenience.

3. Setup
3.1. Powering the Device
The LinkSun A221-2 Blood Pressure Monitor can be powered in two ways:
- Battery Power: Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment located on the underside of the device. Ensure correct polarity.
- USB-C Power: Connect the provided USB-C cable to the monitor's port and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., laptop, power bank, wall adapter).

3.2. Attaching the Cuff
Connect the air tube from the cuff securely into the air jack on the side of the monitor.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Pre-Measurement Preparations
For accurate readings, follow these guidelines:
- Rest comfortably in a quiet environment for 5 minutes in a chair.
- Have an empty bladder.
- Do not eat, ingest caffeine, smoke, or engage in physical activity at least 30 minutes prior to the measurement.
- Measure blood pressure in a quiet, private environment with adequate ambient temperature.

4.2. Applying the Cuff
Proper cuff placement is crucial for accuracy:
- Wrap the cuff around your left upper arm, ensuring the air tube is on the inside of your arm and aligned with your middle finger.
- Allow two fingers of space between the cuff and your arm.
- Position the cuff 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 inches) above the elbow.
- Ensure the cuff is placed on your arm at the same level as your heart.

4.3. Taking a Measurement
With the cuff correctly applied and the device powered on:
- Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will automatically inflate and begin measurement.
- Remain still and silent during the measurement.
- The monitor will display your systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate once complete.
4.4. Dual User Function
The monitor supports two users, each with 100 memory slots:
- Use the user selection button (often labeled with person icons) to switch between User 1 and User 2 before taking a measurement.
- Press the MEM button to review past readings for the selected user.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning the Device
Wipe the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
5.2. Storage
Store the device in the provided storage bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. Irregular Heartbeat Detection
If the irregular heartbeat symbol appears after your measurement, it indicates irregular heartbeat activity was detected. Consult a healthcare professional if this occurs frequently.

6.2. Incorrect Measurement Methods
The monitor includes features to help detect incorrect usage:
- Cuff Self-Check: The system automatically detects posture. If incorrect posture or significant movement is detected, an icon will be displayed on the screen as a prompt.
- Shake Alert: If the cuff is worn correctly, "OK" will be displayed at the bottom of the screen to reduce measurement errors.
