5. Setup Guide

1. Unpack and Rest: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. For optimal performance, allow the unit to rest upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
2. Placement: Place the ice maker on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
3. Clean Before First Use: Before initial use, clean the interior of the ice maker. Refer to the "Maintenance" section for detailed cleaning instructions.
4. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid and remove the ice basket. Fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the "MAX" fill line. Do not overfill.
5. Insert Ice Basket: Place the ice basket back into its position.
6. Power On: Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet. Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn on the unit.
7. Select Ice Size: Use the "SELECT" button to choose your desired ice cube size (SMALL or LARGE). The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
8. First Cycle Recommendation: For the first 3-5 cycles, it is recommended to discard the ice produced to ensure optimal taste and hygiene.

6. Operating Instructions

1. Start Ice Production: After setup, the machine will automatically begin the ice-making process. The "POWER" indicator light will be green.
2. Ice Production Cycle: Each cycle produces 9 ice cubes and takes approximately 6-8 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature and water temperature.
3. "ICE FULL" Indicator: When the ice basket is full, the "ICE FULL" indicator light will illuminate, and the machine will pause ice production. Remove ice from the basket to resume operation.
4. "ADD WATER" Indicator: If the water level in the reservoir is too low, the "ADD WATER" indicator light will illuminate. Add more water to the reservoir to continue ice production.
5. Changing Ice Size: You can change the ice cube size at any time by pressing the "SELECT" button. The change will take effect from the next ice-making cycle.
6. Stopping Operation: To turn off the ice maker, press the "ON/OFF" button.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your ice maker and ensure fresh-tasting ice.

7.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The Silonn ice maker features a convenient one-touch self-cleaning cycle:

1. Ensure the ice basket is empty and the water reservoir is filled with a mixture of water and vinegar (recommended 5:1 ratio of water to vinegar) up to the MAX fill line.
2. Press and hold the "ON/OFF" button for 5 seconds to activate the self-cleaning cycle. The "POWER" light will flash.
3. The self-cleaning process takes approximately 15 minutes.
4. Once complete, drain the water from the bottom drain plug. Rinse the reservoir with clean water and drain again.
