Setup
1. Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the radio's integrated battery. Connect the supplied USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port on the radio and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The charging indicator on the display will show charging status.
- A full charge provides up to 6.5 hours of playback, depending on volume and usage.
2. Extending the Antenna
For optimal DAB+ and FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located at the back of the radio.
3. Initial Power On
Press and hold the power button (⏻) on the front panel to turn on the radio. The display will light up.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To turn on: Press and hold the power button (⏻).
- To turn off: Press and hold the power button (⏻) again.
- Note: A short press of the power button switches between input sources (DAB+, FM, Bluetooth, AUX).
Mode Selection
Press the power button (⏻) briefly to cycle through available modes: DAB+ Radio, FM Radio, Bluetooth, and AUX-In.
DAB+ Radio Operation
- Automatic Station Search: Upon first use in DAB+ mode, the radio will automatically scan for available stations. This may take a few moments.
- Manual Station Search: Refer to the on-screen menu for manual tuning options.
- Selecting Stations: Use the rotary knob to scroll through the list of available DAB+ stations. Press the OK button to select a station.
- Saving Presets: The radio supports 40 DAB+ station presets. To save a station, tune to the desired station, then press and hold the Preset button (often indicated by a star or memory icon) until the display prompts you to save. Use the rotary knob to select a preset number and press OK.
- Recalling Presets: Briefly press the Preset button, then use the rotary knob to select the desired preset and press OK.

FM Radio Operation
- Automatic Scan: In FM mode, press and hold the Play/Pause button (or similar scan button) to initiate an automatic scan for FM stations.
- Manual Tuning: Use the + and - buttons to manually tune the frequency.
- Saving and Recalling Presets: Similar to DAB+ mode, the radio supports 40 FM station presets.
Bluetooth Operation
- Pairing: Switch the radio to Bluetooth mode. The display will show "Pairing" or "Waiting for connection". On your smartphone or Bluetooth device, search for "MEDION S66822" (or similar name) in the Bluetooth settings and select it to pair.
- Streaming: Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the radio. Use the radio's Play/Pause and Next/Previous buttons to control playback, or control directly from your device.

AUX-In Operation
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the radio's 3.5mm AUX-In port using a standard audio cable (not included).
- Switch the radio to AUX-In mode. Audio from the connected device will now play through the radio.
Volume Control
Use the rotary knob to adjust the volume. Turn clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease.
Display and Settings
- Dimmable Color TFT Display: The 1.47-inch display can be dimmed with 3 selectable brightness levels. Access this setting via the Settings button (gear icon).
- Equalizer: Adjust audio settings via the equalizer in the settings menu.
- Sleep Timer: Set the radio to turn off automatically after a specified period (up to 120 minutes) via the settings menu.
