5. Setup and Installation
IMPORTANT: Installation must be performed by a qualified professional in accordance with all local codes and regulations.
- Gas Supply Shut-off: Before beginning any work, ensure the main gas supply to the appliance is completely shut off.
- Location: Install the regulator in an upright position, ensuring the arrow on the regulator body points in the direction of gas flow towards the appliance.
- Connections: Connect the inlet side (3/8 NPT) to the gas supply line and the outlet side (3/8 NPT) to the appliance's gas inlet. Use appropriate pipe sealant on all threaded connections.
- Leak Test: After installation, slowly turn on the main gas supply. Apply a non-corrosive leak detection solution to all connections. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, immediately shut off the gas supply, tighten connections, and re-test.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the regulator.

6. Operating Instructions
The Sourcefy GR-130 Natural Gas Regulator is designed for automatic operation. Once properly installed and the gas supply is turned on, it will automatically reduce and maintain the gas pressure to the specified outlet pressure (5" W.C.) for the connected appliance.
- No user adjustment is typically required for standard operation as the outlet pressure is factory set.
- Ensure the appliance connected to the regulator is compatible with the specified outlet pressure.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your gas system. All maintenance should be performed by a qualified professional.
- Annual Inspection: Have the regulator and entire gas system inspected annually by a qualified technician for proper operation, leaks, and wear.
- Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the regulator clean and free from debris. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Do Not Tamper: Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the regulator yourself. Internal components are not user-serviceable.
8. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your gas appliance that you suspect are related to gas pressure, consult a qualified professional. Do not attempt to diagnose or repair gas system problems yourself.
Common Issues (Requires Professional Diagnosis):
- Low Gas Pressure: Appliance not operating efficiently or flames are weak.
- High Gas Pressure: Appliance flames are too large or noisy.
- Gas Odor: Immediately shut off gas, evacuate the area, and contact your gas supplier and a qualified technician.
