6. Operating Instructions
The Bistro Pro offers versatile cooking with its Electric2Coal™ system.
6.1 Electric Grilling Mode
- Ensure the charcoal rack is empty and the porcelain-coated grates are in place.
- Plug the grill into a suitable 110V outlet.
- Turn the control knob to the desired temperature setting. The digital temperature screen will display the current temperature.
- Allow the grill to preheat. The grill can reach temperatures up to 650°F for searing.
- Place food directly on the grates. Use the warming rack for indirect heat or to keep cooked food warm.

6.2 Charcoal Grilling Mode
To switch to charcoal mode, the grill utilizes its Electric2Coal™ system.
- Ensure the grill is unplugged and cooled down before converting to charcoal mode.
- Remove the porcelain-coated grates.
- Place charcoal briquettes or lump charcoal onto the designated charcoal rack.

6.3 Using the Griddle
The included 210-square-inch stainless steel griddle expands your cooking possibilities.
- Place the griddle directly on the heating element in electric mode.
- Allow the griddle to heat up to the desired temperature.
- Cook items such as pancakes, eggs, bacon, or stir-fries.
- After use, allow the griddle to cool before cleaning. It is small and light enough to be washed in a kitchen sink.
