1. Introduction

This compact grill features the innovative Electric2Coal™ cooking system, allowing seamless transition between electric and charcoal grilling. It offers a high maximum temperature for searing and includes a stainless steel griddle for diverse cooking options.

2. Important Safety Information

4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly is required for the Bistro Pro Electric Grill. Please follow the detailed instructions provided in the separate assembly guide included with your product packaging. Ensure all parts are present before beginning assembly.

• Unpack all components and verify against the parts list in the assembly guide.
• Assemble the main frame and attach the wheels.
• Secure the bottom and mid-shelves.
• Attach the grill body and control panel.
• Install the side shelves, ensuring proper alignment of screws.
• Place the porcelain-coated grates and warming rack.
• Insert the grease tray and charcoal rack.

Note:

• Some users have reported issues with screw alignment for side shelves; ensure careful alignment during installation.
• Do not overtighten screws to prevent damage to components.

5. Initial Setup and Power Connection

Before first use, ensure your grill is properly set up and connected to power.

1. Placement: Position the grill on a stable, level surface outdoors, away from any flammable materials. Ensure adequate clearance from walls or other structures.
2. Power Requirements: The grill operates on a 110-volt electrical supply. It is highly recommended to connect the grill to a dedicated 20 Amp circuit to ensure optimal performance and prevent circuit overload, especially when operating at high temperatures.
3. Connecting Power: Plug the 6.5-foot power cord directly into a grounded 110-volt outdoor outlet. Avoid using extension cords if possible. If an extension cord is necessary, ensure it is rated for outdoor use, heavy-duty, and capable of handling the grill's power draw.

6. Operating Instructions

The Bistro Pro offers versatile cooking with its Electric2Coal™ system.

6.1 Electric Grilling Mode

1. Ensure the charcoal rack is empty and the porcelain-coated grates are in place.
2. Plug the grill into a suitable 110V outlet.
3. Turn the control knob to the desired temperature setting. The digital temperature screen will display the current temperature.
4. Allow the grill to preheat. The grill can reach temperatures up to 650°F for searing.
5. Place food directly on the grates. Use the warming rack for indirect heat or to keep cooked food warm.

6.2 Charcoal Grilling Mode

To switch to charcoal mode, the grill utilizes its Electric2Coal™ system.

1. Ensure the grill is unplugged and cooled down before converting to charcoal mode.
2. Remove the porcelain-coated grates.
3. Place charcoal briquettes or lump charcoal onto the designated charcoal rack.
4. Use the electric heating element to ignite the charcoal. Once charcoal is lit and glowing, unplug the grill.
5. Replace the grates and begin grilling. For added smoke flavor, you can add wood chunks to the charcoal rack.

6.3 Using the Griddle

The included 210-square-inch stainless steel griddle expands your cooking possibilities.

1. Place the griddle directly on the heating element in electric mode.
2. Allow the griddle to heat up to the desired temperature.
3. Cook items such as pancakes, eggs, bacon, or stir-fries.
4. After use, allow the griddle to cool before cleaning. It is small and light enough to be washed in a kitchen sink.

7. Care and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your grill and ensure optimal performance.

• Cleaning Grates: After each use, once the grates have cooled, scrape off any food residue with a grill brush. The porcelain-coated grates are designed for easy cleaning.
• Grease Tray: Regularly check and empty the easy-access grease tray. Clean with warm, soapy water.
• Griddle: The stainless steel griddle can be washed with warm, soapy water in a kitchen sink after it has cooled.
• Exterior: Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Storage: Store the grill in a dry, protected area when not in use, especially during off-season.
