1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the JGIPL 4K Digital Camera. This compact and versatile camera is designed to help you capture high-quality photos and videos with ease. Featuring 4K Ultra HD video recording, 48MP still image capture, a 180° flip screen, and intelligent autofocus, it is ideal for photography enthusiasts, vloggers, and everyday use. 2. What's in the Box

3. Setup

3.1. Charging the Batteries

Before first use, fully charge both rechargeable batteries. Insert a battery into the provided battery charger and connect the charger to a power source using the USB cable. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.

3.2. Installing Battery and Memory Card

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located at the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert a charged battery, ensuring the correct orientation as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Insert the 32GB Micro TF card into the memory card slot until it clicks into place.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.3. Initial Power On and Formatting

Press and hold the power button to turn on the camera. It is recommended to format the Micro TF card before first use to ensure optimal performance and compatibility. To format the card:

  1. In still image mode, press the "Mode" button 3 times to enter the system setting interface.
  2. Select the "Format" option.
  3. Press "OK" to confirm formatting.

4. Operating the Camera

4.1. Basic Controls

Familiarize yourself with the main buttons:

  • Power Button: Turns the camera on/off.
  • Shutter Release Button: Takes photos or starts/stops video recording.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through still image, video, and playback modes.
  • Menu Button: Accesses settings within each mode.
  • Navigation Buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right/OK): Used for menu navigation and adjusting settings.

4.2. Taking Photos with Autofocus

The camera features innovative autofocus for clear images:

  1. In still image mode, point the camera at your subject.
  2. Press the shutter release button halfway down to activate autofocus. The focus frame on the screen will change from yellow to green when focus is achieved.
  3. Once the focus frame is green, press the shutter button fully down to capture the image.

4.3. Recording Videos

To record video:

  1. Press the "Mode" button once to switch to video recording mode.
  2. Press the shutter release button to start recording. A red "REC" indicator will appear on the screen.
  3. Press the shutter release button again to stop recording.

The camera supports video pause and play functionality during recording.

4.4. Using the 180° Flip Screen

The 3.0-inch IPS screen can be flipped 180° for easy self-portraits and vlogging. Simply rotate the screen to face forward when you want to capture yourself.

4.5. Digital Zoom

The camera features 16X digital zoom. Use the zoom controls (usually marked 'W' for Wide and 'T' for Telephoto) to adjust the magnification. Note that digital zoom crops and enlarges the image, which may reduce image quality at higher magnifications.

4.6. Playback and Deleting Images/Videos

To review your captured content:

  1. Press the "Mode" button 2 times from still image mode to enter playback mode.
  2. Use the navigation buttons to browse through your photos and videos.
  3. To delete a file, select it and press the "MENU" button, then confirm deletion.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your JGIPL 4K Digital Camera, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth specifically designed for camera lenses. Gently wipe the lens in a circular motion to remove dust and smudges. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Cleaning the Screen: Wipe the LCD screen with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn smudges, a slightly dampened cloth with water can be used, followed by a dry wipe.
  • General Body Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the camera.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the camera in its provided camera bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Avoid fully discharging batteries frequently, and recharge them periodically if not in use to maintain their health.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Camera does not power on.Battery is not charged or incorrectly inserted. Ensure batteries are fully charged and inserted with correct polarity.
Images are blurry.Autofocus not engaged: Press the shutter button halfway to focus before fully pressing.
Anti-shake off: Ensure the anti-shake feature is enabled in settings.
Low light: Use the built-in flash.
Memory card error.Card not inserted correctly: Reinsert the TF card.
Card needs formatting: Format the TF card via the camera's system settings (see Section 3.3).
Card is full: Delete unnecessary files or use a new card.
Cannot playback photos/videos.Not in playback mode: Press the Mode button twice to enter playback mode.
Files corrupted: Reformat the card (this will erase all data).
Poor image quality with digital zoom.Digital zoom crops and enlarges the image, which can lead to pixelation. This is normal for digital zoom. For best quality, shoot without excessive zoom and crop later if needed.
