4. Setup and Installation

The AKOFUN Solar Flood Lights offer flexible installation options. Ensure the solar panel is placed in a location that receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily for optimal charging.

4.1 Solar Panel Placement

Position the solar panel in an unshaded area to maximize sunlight exposure. The 16.4 ft (5m) connection cable allows for flexible placement of the solar panel away from the light unit if needed.

4.2 Mounting Options

The flood light and solar panel can be installed separately or integrated, depending on your needs.

  • Wall Mount: Securely attach the light unit and solar panel to a wall using the provided screws and expansion bolts.
  • Pedestal Mount: Mount the light unit on a pole or pedestal.
  • Ceiling Mount: Install the light unit on an overhead surface.

5. Operating Instructions

Your AKOFUN Solar Flood Lights are controlled via the included remote control. Ensure the remote control has a working AAA battery (included).

5.1 Remote Control Functions

  • ON/OFF: Press to manually turn the light on or off.
  • Brightness Adjustment (+/-): Adjust the light intensity.
  • AUTO: Activates the dusk-to-dawn mode. The light will automatically turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn.
  • 3H/5H/8H: Sets the light to stay on at full brightness for 3, 5, or 8 hours after automatically turning on at dusk.
  • Radar Sense Mode (Motion Sensor):
    • Mode 1 (Auto): Light turns on automatically at dusk and turns off at dawn.
    • Mode 2 (Motion Sensor): High intensity light turns on when motion is detected, then returns to low intensity light after 30 seconds of no motion.
    • Mode 3 (Timer Setting): Light turns on for 6 or 8 hours at high intensity.
    • Mode 4 (Timer Setting + Motion Sensor): Light turns on for 3 or 4 hours with strong light, then switches to motion detection mode (Mode 2) for the remaining 3 to 8 hours.
