4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The thermometer comes with one C battery included. To activate the device, locate the battery compartment on the back and remove the protective plastic tab if present. Ensure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4.2 Placement Options
The Geevon thermometer offers three convenient ways for placement:
- Hang: Use the integrated hook to hang the thermometer from a shelf in your refrigerator or freezer.
- Stand: Fold out the stand on the back of the device to place it upright on any flat surface.
- Magnet: Utilize the strong magnets on the back to attach the thermometer to any metallic surface, such as a refrigerator door.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Press the ON/OFF button once to turn the thermometer on or off.
5.2 Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)
Press the °C/°F button once to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature readings.
5.3 Viewing and Resetting MAX/MIN Temperatures
The thermometer automatically records the maximum (MAX) and minimum (MIN) temperatures reached since the last reset. These values are displayed on the lower part of the LCD screen.
- To view the current, MAX, and MIN temperatures, simply look at the display.
- To reset the MAX/MIN temperature records, press and hold the CLEAR button for approximately 3 seconds until the MAX/MIN values reset to the current temperature.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the thermometer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the entire unit in water. The IP65 waterproof rating protects against splashes and dust, but not full submersion.

6.2 Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or inaccurate, it is time to replace the battery. Open the battery compartment on the back, remove the old battery, and insert a new C battery, ensuring correct polarity.
