Setup

Connecting to Your TV or Audio System

The GOKUID DVD Player offers multiple connectivity options to suit various display and audio setups.

HDMI Connection (Recommended for Modern Displays)

For optimal picture quality (1080P upscaling), connect the included HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port on the DVD player to an HDMI IN port on your TV, projector, or monitor.

RCA Connection (For Older Displays)

If your TV or audio system does not have an HDMI input, use the included RCA (red, white, yellow) cable. Connect the yellow plug to the video input, and the red and white plugs to the corresponding audio inputs on your TV or receiver.

Coaxial Audio Output

For connecting to a surround sound system or external audio receiver, use the Coaxial output port on the DVD player. This provides digital audio output for enhanced sound.

Initial Power On

  1. Connect the power adapter to the DVD player and then to a power outlet.
  2. Turn on your TV and select the correct input source (HDMI or AV) that corresponds to your connection.
  3. Press the Power button on the DVD player or the remote control to turn on the unit.
  4. The GOKUID logo or a "No Disc" message should appear on your screen.

Operating Instructions

Disc Playback

  1. Gently insert a disc (DVD, CD, DVD±R/RW, VCD/SVCD, CD-R/RW) into the disc tray with the label side facing up.
  2. The player will automatically load the disc and begin playback. If a menu appears, use the remote control's navigation buttons to select your desired option.
  3. Use the Play, Pause, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind, and Skip buttons on the remote control to manage playback.

Note: This DVD player supports discs from all regions (1-6, except Japan CPRM). It does not support Blu-ray Discs.

Anti-Skip Technology

The player is equipped with anti-skip technology to help stabilize playback of slightly scratched discs, reducing interruptions.

USB Playback

The DVD player supports USB 2.0 for playing multimedia files from a USB flash drive (up to 32GB).

  1. Insert your USB flash drive into the USB port on the front of the DVD player.
  2. Use the remote control to navigate to the USB input mode.
  3. Select the desired file (AVI, MPG, VOB for video; JPEG, JPG for images; MP3 for audio) and press Play.

Note: USB 3.0 drives and MP4 files are not supported via USB playback.

Breakpoint Memory

The breakpoint memory feature allows the player to remember the last playback position of a disc or USB file, even after the player is turned off or the disc is ejected. When you resume playback, it will start from where you left off.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

  • Wipe the exterior of the DVD player with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Keep the disc tray free of dust and debris.

Disc Care

  • Handle discs by their edges to avoid fingerprints.
  • Clean discs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
  • Store discs in their cases to prevent scratches and dust accumulation.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GOKUID DVD Player, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

No picture or sound.

"No Disc" message displayed.

  • Ensure the disc format is supported (e.g., not a Blu-ray disc).
Disc skipping or freezing.
  • Clean the disc thoroughly.
  • The disc may be damaged beyond repair. Try a different disc.
  • Ensure the player is on a stable, level surface.
USB drive not recognized or files not playing.
  • Ensure the USB drive is formatted to FAT32.
  • Verify the USB drive is USB 2.0 and its capacity is 32GB or less.
  • Check if the file format (e.g., MP4) is not supported. Supported video formats are AVI, MPG, VOB.
Unusual noise during disc playback.
  • Ensure the disc is clean and free of damage.
  • Some discs may naturally produce more noise during playback.
  • If the noise is excessive or persistent, contact customer support.
