2. Safety Information

Control Panel Features:

  • MIC/LINE Inputs (Channels 1-4): XLR/TRS combo jacks for microphones or line-level instruments.

5. Setup

5.1 Power Connection

  1. Ensure the mixer's power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN jack on the rear panel of the mixer.
  3. Plug the power adapter into a standard 110V AC power outlet.

5.2 Connecting Inputs and Outputs

  • Microphones/Instruments: Connect microphones (condenser or dynamic) or line-level instruments (guitars, keyboards) to the MIC/LINE inputs (Channels 1-4) using XLR or 1/4" TRS cables. If using condenser microphones, activate +48V phantom power.
  • PC/Laptop Connection: Connect your computer to the mixer via the USB-B port for audio recording and playback.
  • Main Speakers: Connect your active speakers or power amplifier to the MAIN OUT (L/R) jacks using XLR or 1/4" TRS cables. Note: This mixer cannot be directly connected to passive speakers without an external power amplifier.
  • Headphones: Plug your headphones into the PHONES jack for monitoring.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Mixing

  1. Turn on the mixer and any connected audio devices.
  2. Adjust the GAIN control for each input channel to achieve an optimal input level without clipping (distortion).
  3. Use the EQ (High/Low) controls to shape the tone of each channel.
  4. Set the PAN control to position the sound in the stereo field.
  5. Adjust the channel LEVEL faders and the main output faders to achieve the desired overall mix volume.

6.2 USB Disk Playback and Recording

The mixer supports USB disk for MP3 playback and direct recording.

  • Playback: Insert a USB disk containing MP3 files into the USB port. Use the controls in the USB/MP3 player section to navigate and play tracks.
  • Recording: Insert a USB disk. Press the record button in the USB/MP3 player section to start recording the main mix directly to the USB disk.

6.3 Bluetooth Connectivity

Connect your mobile device wirelessly for audio playback.

  1. Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device.
  2. Select the Bluetooth mode on the mixer's USB/MP3 player section.
  3. Search for "MW-6" (or similar device name) on your mobile device and pair.
  4. Once connected, audio from your mobile device will play through the mixer.

6.4 DSP Effects

The MW-6 features 99 built-in digital signal processing (DSP) effects.

  1. Use the PROGRAM knob in the DSP section to select one of the 99 effects. The selected effect number will be displayed on the LCD.
  2. Adjust the FX SEND control on individual channels to send signal to the effects processor.
  3. Use the main FX LEVEL control to adjust the overall volume of the effects return.

6.5 Real-time Monitoring

  • Connect headphones to the PHONES output.
  • Adjust the PHONES LEVEL knob to control the headphone volume.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the mixer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
