Setup: Refilling the Torch

The CoYlBod Butane Torch Lighter is shipped without butane gas. Please follow these steps to refill it safely:

  • Ensure the torch is completely cool and the safety lock is engaged.
  • Turn the torch upside down.
  • Insert the nozzle of a standard butane gas canister vertically into the gas filling valve at the base of the torch.
  • Press down firmly for approximately 5-10 seconds. You may hear a hissing sound, which is normal.
  • Repeat the process 2-3 times to ensure a full refill. Do not overfill.
  • Wait a few minutes after refilling before attempting to ignite the torch to allow the gas to stabilize.

Operating Instructions

1. Ignition

  1. Ensure the torch is adequately filled with butane gas.
  2. Slide the safety lock to the "unlock" position.
  3. Press the ignition button. The piezo ignition will spark, and the flame will ignite.

2. Adjusting the Flame

The flame regulator allows you to control the flame size and intensity:

  • Rotate the flame regulator towards the '+' symbol for a larger, hotter flame (up to 2372°F / 1300°C).
  • Rotate the flame regulator towards the '-' symbol for a smaller, cooler flame.

3. Continuous Flame Mode

For extended use without holding the ignition button:

  1. Press the ignition button to ignite the flame.
  2. While the flame is active, push the safety lock down to engage the continuous flame mode.
  3. To disengage, slide the safety lock back to the "unlock" position.

4. Rotating Torch Head

The torch head can be rotated 0-90 degrees for optimal angle and precision:

  • Gently rotate the torch head to your desired angle.
  • This feature allows for comfortable use in various positions without affecting flame consistency.
