4. Setup Guide

4.1. Initial Power-Up

1. Connect the power adapters to the NVR and all cameras. Ensure all devices are powered on.
2. The cameras and NVR are pre-paired from the factory for true plug-and-play functionality.
3. If you wish to use an external monitor, connect it to the NVR via VGA or HDMI cable.

4.2. EseeCloud App Installation and Registration

To access your security system remotely, download and set up the EseeCloud application:

1. Download the free "EseeCloud" app from Android Google Play or Apple App Store.
2. Register a new account within the app using your phone number or email address.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the registration, including any verification steps.

4.3. Adding Devices to the App

After registration, add your cameras to the EseeCloud app:

1. In the app, click "Add smart camera" or "Add device".
2. You can scan the QR code located on the camera for quick pairing. Ensure the camera is powered on and within 15-20cm of your phone.
3. Alternatively, connect the camera via an Ethernet cable to your router's LAN port and use the "LAN scan" option in the app.
4. For wireless connection, select your home 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter the password. Note: WiFi name and password should not include special characters and password should not exceed 12 characters.
5. Once successfully added, you can name your device within the app.

5. Operation Guide

5.1. Live View and Playback

The EseeCloud app provides a main interface for viewing live feeds and accessing recorded footage.

• From the main interface, select the camera you wish to view.
• Switch between Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) quality as needed.
• To listen to audio, open the sound button in the app and ensure your phone's volume is up.
• Take screenshots or record video directly from the live view. These will be saved to your phone's photo album.
• Access recorded footage via the playback option. The system supports 24/7 continuous recording with the pre-installed 1TB HDD.

5.2. Motion Detection and Alerts

Configure motion detection settings to receive alerts for significant events:

• Navigate to the "Smart detection" settings within the app.

• Set custom detection periods (day, night, or custom schedule).
• Define specific activity zones or cordon modes to monitor only desired areas.
