Giraffe Tools Grandfalls Pressure Washer (Model HP135-G30B-D) User Manual

This manual provides instructions for the safe operation, assembly, maintenance, and storage of your Giraffe Tools Grandfalls Pressure Washer.

1. Important Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating this pressure washer. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Electrical Safety: Always connect the pressure washer to a grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords unless absolutely necessary and ensure they are rated for outdoor use and the appliance's power requirements. The unit is equipped with a GFCI for your safety.
  • High Pressure Hazard: The high-pressure stream can cause serious injury. Never direct the spray at people, pets, or electrical devices. Always wear appropriate eye protection.
  • Water Supply: Ensure the water supply is clean and free of debris. Do not use hot water.
  • Operating Environment: Operate the pressure washer in a well-ventilated area. Keep children and bystanders away from the operating area.
  • Maintenance: Disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Wall Mounting

The Grandfalls Pressure Washer is designed for wall-mounted installation to save space and keep your area organized.

  1. Select a suitable location on a sturdy wall, preferably near a water source and a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Using the provided hardware, securely attach the wall mount bracket to the wall. A socket wrench is required for installation.
  3. Slide the pressure washer unit onto the installed wall mount bracket until it clicks securely into place.

3.2 Connecting Water and Power

  1. Attach the flexible water inlet hose to the water inlet on the pressure washer unit and to your garden hose. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  2. Connect the high-pressure hose from the unit to the spray gun.
  3. Plug the 6 ft power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The integrated GFCI provides enhanced safety.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Unit

  1. Ensure all connections are secure and the water supply is turned on.
  2. Turn on the power switch on the pressure washer unit.
  3. Before starting, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the system until a steady stream of water emerges. This protects the pump.

4.2 Using the Retractable Hose

The unit features a 100 ft retractable pressure hose with an 'Any Length Lock' system.

  • To Extend: Pull the hose gently to the desired length. The hose will lock automatically.
  • To Retract: Give the hose a gentle tug, and the automatic rewind system will retract it smoothly back into the reel. This system is designed to prevent kinks and snags.

4.3 Nozzle Selection and Usage

The pressure washer comes with 4 quick-connect nozzles for various cleaning needs:

  • 0° (Red): For concentrated, high-impact cleaning of stubborn stains and hard-to-reach crevices. Use with extreme caution.
  • 15° (Yellow): For intense cleaning of hard surfaces like brick or concrete.
  • 25° (Green): For general cleaning of wood decks, vinyl siding, and other soft surfaces.
  • 40° (White): For gentle cleaning of delicate surfaces like windows, vehicles, and screens.

4.4 Using the Foam Cannon

The included foam cannon allows for effective application of cleaning detergents.

  1. Fill the foam cannon reservoir with appropriate pressure washer detergent.
  2. Attach the foam cannon to the spray gun.
  3. Adjust the foam coverage by gently rotating the nozzle.

4.5 Total Stop System (TSS)

The Total Stop System automatically shuts off the pump when the trigger is not engaged. This saves energy and prolongs the life of the pump.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your pressure washer.

5.1 Replaceable Pressure Hose

The 100 ft pressure hose is designed for durability and can be replaced if needed. It is constructed with a three-layer composite anti-explosion material for tough cleaning jobs.

5.2 Nozzle Cleaning

If a nozzle becomes clogged, use the included nozzle cleaning tool to clear any debris. Always disconnect the power and water supply before cleaning nozzles.

5.3 Storage

After each use, ensure all water is drained from the unit and hoses. Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free environment. For prolonged storage, especially in cold climates, consider using a pump protector or winterizing solution.
