5. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps for initial setup of your Waterdrop WD-ED25TW dispenser:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Wash Components: Wash the water reservoir and lid with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly. Do not wash the water pump unit (top part with electronics) directly with water.
- Install Filter: If not pre-installed, screw the filter into the designated slot underneath the water pump unit. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Charge Battery: Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the water pump unit and to a compatible USB adapter (not included). The power indicator will flash red while charging and turn green when fully charged.
- Fill Reservoir: Place the water pump unit with the filter into the clean reservoir. Remove the top lid and fill the reservoir with tap water up to the MAX line.
- Flush Filter: Press the dispense button to filter and discard the first full reservoir of water. This flushes out any carbon fines and prepares the filter for use. For new filters, allow water to flow for about 10 seconds.

Figure 5.1: Fast Filter Replacement. This image illustrates the four steps for filter replacement: taking out the pumping unit, turning counter-clockwise to remove the used filter, screwing in a new filter, and resetting the filter life indicator by holding the water drop key for 3 seconds.
6. Operating Instructions
Using your Waterdrop WD-ED25TW dispenser is simple and convenient:
- Dispense Water: Place a glass or bottle under the dispensing spout. Press the water drop button once to activate the dispenser. Press it again to start dispensing water. Press a third time to stop the water flow.
- Recharging: When the power indicator flashes red, it's time to recharge. Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging port. A full charge can last up to 20 days.
- Filter Life Monitoring: The filter life indicator will signal when it's time to replace the filter. A blue light indicates the filter is working properly. A flashing red light means replacement is soon, and a solid red light means replace the filter now.
