1. Introduction

The Arylic BP50 is a versatile Bluetooth 5.2 aptX Home Audio Preamplifier designed to integrate modern wireless and digital audio sources with traditional home stereo systems. 4. Product Overview

4.1 Front Panel

The front panel provides easy access to essential controls and indicators:

  • ON/OFF Switch: Powers the unit on or off.
  • Input Indicators: LEDs illuminate to show the currently selected audio input (Standby, Bluetooth, Line In, Phono, Optical, HDMI ARC, USB, DAC).
  • Volume/Mode Knob: Controls the audio output volume. Pressing the knob cycles through input modes.

The rear panel houses all connectivity options:

  • BLE Antenna: For Bluetooth Low Energy connection.
  • DC Input: Power connection port.

5. Setup

5.1 Connecting to Power

Connect the provided power adapter to the DC Input port on the rear panel of the BP50, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet. The unit will enter standby mode.

5.2 Connecting Audio Sources

The BP50 supports various audio input types:

  • HDMI ARC: Connect an HDMI cable from your TV's HDMI ARC port to the BP50's ARC input. This allows your TV's audio to play through the BP50 and connected speakers, and often allows TV remote control of volume.
  • Phono Input: Connect your turntable's RCA output to the BP50's Phono In ports. Ensure your turntable has a built-in preamplifier or use an external one. Connect the turntable's ground wire to the BP50's GND terminal if available.
  • Line In (RCA): Connect analog audio devices (e.g., CD player, cassette deck) using RCA cables to the Line In ports.
  • Optical In: Connect digital audio devices (e.g., game console, set-top box) using an optical cable to the Optical In port.
  • USB: Insert a USB flash drive containing audio files into the USB port.
  • USB DAC: Connect the BP50 to your computer via a USB cable to use it as an external DAC.

5.3 Connecting Audio Outputs

Connect the BP50 to your audio system:

  • RCA Outputs: Connect the Line Out (RCA) ports to the input of your amplifier, powered speakers, or AV receiver.
  • Subwoofer Output: Connect an active subwoofer to the SW Out port for enhanced bass.
  • Bluetooth Transmitter Mode: The BP50 can transmit audio to up to two Bluetooth headphones or speakers simultaneously.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF switch on the front panel.
  • Volume Control: Rotate the Volume/Mode knob on the front panel or use the remote control to adjust the volume.
  • Input Selection: Press the Volume/Mode knob to cycle through available inputs (BT, Line, Phono, OPT, ARC, USB, DAC). Alternatively, use the dedicated input buttons on the remote control.

6.2 GO CONTROL APP

The GO CONTROL APP provides comprehensive control over your BP50. It is available for both iOS and Android devices.

  • Download: Search for "GO CONTROL" in your device's app store.
  • Connection: Ensure your mobile device's Bluetooth is enabled and connect to the BP50.
  • Features: The app allows you to:
    • Customize EQ settings (equalizer).
    • Change device name.
    • Select custom themes.
    • Manage USB playlists.
    • Control audio source selection.
    • Adjust volume and playback.

6.3 Bluetooth Receiver Mode

To receive audio via Bluetooth:

  1. Select "BT" as the input source on the BP50.
  2. On your source device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for "Arylic BP50".
  3. Select the BP50 to pair. Once paired, audio from your device will play through the BP50.

6.4 Bluetooth Transmitter Mode

The BP50 can transmit audio from any of its inputs to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

  1. Ensure the BP50 is playing audio from your desired input source (e.g., Phono, HDMI ARC).
  2. Put your Bluetooth headphones/speakers into pairing mode.
  3. On the BP50, activate Bluetooth transmission (refer to the remote control or app for specific button/setting). The BP50 can transmit to up to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

6.5 ACP Workbench Tuning Tool

The ACP Workbench is a Windows-based software tool developed by Arylic for advanced audio customization.

  • Functionality: Allows for real-time response tuning, customizing EQ for each channel, adjusting L/R balance, and adding various audio effects.
  • Compatibility: This software is for Windows operating systems only and may require a fee.
  • Usage: Connect your BP50 to a Windows PC to utilize this tool for fine-tuning your audio experience. Settings can be saved and applied to other Arylic devices.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Do not block any ventilation openings.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.
