Setup Instructions
The M816-PRO supports three connection modes: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB-C.
1. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver. It is typically stored in a compartment on the underside of the mouse.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Set the connection mode switch on the underside of the mouse to the "2.4G" position.
- The mouse should automatically connect to your computer.

2. Bluetooth Connection
- Set the connection mode switch on the underside of the mouse to the "BT" (Bluetooth) position.
- On your computer or device, open Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
- Search for new devices. The mouse should appear as "Redragon M816-PRO" or similar.
- Select the mouse to pair. Follow any on-screen prompts.
3. Wired Connection
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the front port of the mouse.
- Connect the USB-A end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- The mouse will function as a wired mouse and will also charge its internal battery.
Operating Instructions
DPI Adjustment
The mouse features a dedicated DPI button (Button 6) to cycle through preset DPI levels. The M816-PRO supports five default DPI levels, and can be adjusted up to 26,000 DPI via software.

RGB Backlighting Control
The M816-PRO features true RGB backlighting. Millions of RGB lighting effects can be customized and adjusted using the Redragon customization software. Note that RGB effects are primarily controlled via software.

Software Customization
For advanced customization, download the professional Redragon software from the official Redragon website (redragon.com). The software allows you to:
- Adjust DPI levels and report rate.
- Customize the 6 programmable buttons.
- Create macros.
- Control RGB lighting effects, brightness, and rhythm.
Note: Driver software functionality is not supported when the mouse is connected via Bluetooth mode.

Battery Management
The M816-PRO is equipped with a long-lasting battery, providing up to 200 hours of usage depending on the scenario. To charge the mouse, connect it to your computer using the provided USB-C cable. The mouse can be used while charging in wired mode.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your mouse, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the mouse. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the mouse.
- Sensor: Keep the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse clean and free from dust or debris.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the mouse in a dry, cool place.
- Avoid Liquids: Do not expose the mouse to liquids.
