Setup

Charging the Vacuum

Before first use, fully charge your Dyson Car+Boat handheld vacuum.

1. Connect the charger to a power outlet.
2. Plug the charging cable into the charging port located on the vacuum's base.

4. A full charge typically takes several hours.

Operating the Vacuum

Power Modes

The vacuum features two power modes for different cleaning tasks:

Maintenance

Emptying the Clear Bin

Empty the clear bin when debris reaches the MAX mark.

1. Hold the vacuum over a trash bin.
2. Push the red lever on the main unit upwards until the bin base opens and debris is released.
3. Push the bin base back up until it clicks securely into place.

Washing the Filter

The filter should be washed regularly (at least once a month) to maintain optimal suction.

1. Twist the filter counter-clockwise from the top of the main unit and pull it out.
2. Wash the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear.
3. Squeeze and twist the filter to remove excess water.
4. Leave the filter to dry completely for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry place before reattaching. Do not use a tumble dryer or microwave.

Troubleshooting

No Power / Not Charging

• Ensure the charger is securely plugged into both the wall outlet and the vacuum's charging port.
• Check the power outlet by plugging in another appliance.
• Allow the vacuum to cool down if it has been used extensively, as it may have a thermal cut-out.

Reduced Suction

• Check if the clear bin is full and empty it if necessary.
• Ensure the filter is clean and dry. Wash and dry it if it's dirty or damp.
• Check for blockages in the tools or the main unit's intake.
• Ensure all attachments are securely fitted.

Tools Not Attaching/Detaching Smoothly

• Ensure the red release button is fully pressed when detaching.
• Align the tool correctly with the main unit until a click is heard when attaching.
