Setup
1. Battery Installation
The Nitecore HC70 UHE headlamp is powered by a 6000mAh Lithium-Ion battery. Ensure the battery is correctly inserted according to the polarity markings.
2. Attaching the Headband
Attach the elastic headband to the headlamp unit. The headband features reflective strips for increased visibility and a widened silicone strip for a secure, comfortable fit. An included top strap can be used for enhanced stability, especially during active use.

3. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the headlamp using the provided USB-C charging cable. The intelligent charging circuit allows for use while charging and automatically stops charging once the battery is full. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes (with a 5V/2A charger). The USB-C port has a protective cover.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment
The headlamp features a dual-button interface for one-handed operation.
- Power Button: Press to turn the headlamp on or off. Once on, press repeatedly to cycle through brightness levels (ULTRALOW, LOW, MID, HIGH, TURBO).
- Mode Button: Used for switching light sources and accessing special modes.

2. Light Sources and Modes
The HC70 UHE is equipped with dual light sources: primary white light and auxiliary red light.
- Primary White Light: Features 6-core UHE optics providing up to 1600 lumens and a 156m throw. The ULTRALOW level (8 lumens) is designed for prolonged use without dazzling, offering up to 220 hours of runtime. Other levels include LOW (150 lumens), MID (500 lumens), HIGH (1000 lumens), and TURBO (1600 lumens). Special modes like SOS and BEACON are also available.
- Auxiliary Red Light: Ideal for preserving night vision, emergency response, safety warnings, and repelling insects. Modes include HIGH (15 lumens), LOW (5 lumens), and SLOW FLASHING (15 lumens).

3. Power Indication
When the headlamp is off, short press the MODE Button to display the remaining battery power.
- 4 Constant-on bars: 75% - 100%
- 3 Constant-on bars: 50% - 75%
- 2 Constant-on bars: 25% - 50%
- 1 Constant-on bar: 0% - 25% (Recharge or replace the battery promptly)

4. Dual Protection Safeguards
- Transportation Mode: Adjust the headlamp upward to avoid accidental activation during carrying or transportation.
- Lockout Mode: When the headlamp is off, long press both buttons for 2 seconds to enter Lockout Mode. The headlamp will automatically unlock when charging or replacing the battery.

5. Beam Angle Adjustment
The headlamp features a 180° adjustable angle, allowing for one-handed operation and achieving all-round lighting with no blind spots. The quick-release bracket and near-center of gravity design reduce pressure on the forehead for comfortable and stable wear.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Wipe the headlamp with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
2. Water and Impact Resistance
The HC70 UHE has an IP68 rating, making it dustproof and waterproof. It is also designed with 1.5m impact resistance. While durable, avoid unnecessary exposure to extreme conditions or impacts to prolong its lifespan.

3. Storage

Troubleshooting
- Headlamp not turning on:
- Check if the battery is correctly installed and charged.
- Ensure the headlamp is not in Lockout Mode. Long press both buttons for 2 seconds to exit.
- Light output is dim:
- The battery may be low. Recharge the battery.
- Ensure the lens is clean and free from obstructions.
- Charging issues:
- Verify the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the headlamp and a power source.
- Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter.
