4. Installation
Proper installation is critical for the inverter's performance and safety. Follow these guidelines carefully.
4.1 Site Selection and Mounting
- Mount the inverter vertically on a solid surface capable of supporting its weight (approx. 19.19 kg).
- Ensure adequate clearance around the inverter for proper airflow and heat dissipation. Maintain at least 20 cm clearance on all sides.
- Avoid locations with high humidity, dust, corrosive gases, or direct exposure to water.
- Operating temperature range: 0°C to 55°C.
4.2 Wiring Connections
All wiring must comply with local electrical codes and regulations. Use appropriate cable gauges for all connections.

Figure 4.2.1: Comprehensive wiring diagram showing connections for PV modules, battery bank, utility grid, and AC loads. Recommended cable sizes and breaker ratings are indicated.
- Battery Connection: Connect the 48V battery bank to the battery input terminals. Ensure correct polarity. Recommended cable: 2 AWG (25mm²). Recommended fuse: 150A.
- PV Array Connection: Connect solar panels to the dual MPPT inputs (PV1 and PV2). Max PV array open circuit voltage: 500V DC. MPPT voltage range: 90-500V DC. Recommended cable: 10 AWG (6mm²).
- AC Input (Utility/Generator): Connect the utility grid or a generator to the AC input. Rated input voltage: 220/230/240V AC. Max charge current: 160A. Recommended cable: 10 AWG (6mm²). Recommended breaker: 63A.
- AC Output (Load): Connect your household or office loads to the AC output terminals. Output voltage: 220/230/240V AC ±5%. Rated output power: 11000W. Recommended cable: 10 AWG (6mm²). Recommended breaker: 63A.
- Parallel Connection: For parallel operation, connect up to 9 inverters using the dedicated parallel communication ports. Refer to Figure 4.2.2 for examples.

Figure 4.2.2: Examples of parallel connection for single-phase systems and three-phase electrical input/output wiring. A minimum of three inverters is required for three-phase operation.
5. Operation
This section details the operational aspects of your DATOUBOSS Hybrid Solar Inverter.
5.1 LCD Display and Function Buttons
The LCD display provides real-time system status and allows for configuration of various settings. The function buttons (ESC, UP, DOWN, ENTER) are used to navigate menus and adjust parameters.

Figure 5.1.1: Close-up of the inverter's LCD display, showing input/output status, battery level, and power flow.
5.2 Operating Modes
The inverter offers flexible charging and output modes to suit different energy management needs.

Figure 5.2.1: Illustration of the four charging modes (Solar Priority, Solar Only, Utility Priority, Solar Hybrid & Utility) and three output modes (Solar Priority (SUB), Utility Priority (USB), Battery Priority (SBU)).
- Charging Modes:
- Solar Priority: Solar energy is prioritized for charging the battery. If solar is insufficient, utility power is used.
- Solar Only: Only solar energy is used to charge the battery.
- Utility Priority: Utility power is prioritized for charging the battery. Solar energy is used if utility is unavailable.
- Solar Hybrid & Utility: Both solar and utility power can charge the battery simultaneously.
- Output Modes:
- Solar Priority (SUB): Loads are primarily powered by solar, then battery, then utility.
- Utility Priority (USB): Loads are primarily powered by utility, then solar, then battery.
- Battery Priority (SBU): Loads are primarily powered by battery, then solar, then utility.
5.3 Battery-less Operation
The inverter supports operation without a connected battery, powering loads directly from PV generation or the utility grid. This feature is ideal for grid-tied systems where battery backup is not required.
Important Note: When multiple inverters are connected in parallel, a battery must be connected, and the battery-less operation function cannot be utilized.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your inverter.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the inverter's exterior with a dry cloth. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Connections Check: Annually inspect all wiring connections for tightness and signs of corrosion. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Environmental Check: Ensure the installation environment remains within specified temperature and humidity ranges.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates. Follow instructions carefully if performing an update.
7. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions for common issues you might encounter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
