Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Wiltec 36 cm 2.5 kW Gasoline Tiller, Model 65050. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new tiller. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the machine to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
This tiller is designed for preparing soil, aerating, weeding, and scarifying in gardens and fields. Its robust design and powerful engine make it suitable for both amateur and professional gardening tasks.
Safety Instructions
Always prioritize safety when operating power tools. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.
- Read the Manual: Understand all instructions and warnings before use.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety glasses, sturdy footwear, and hearing protection. Gloves are recommended.
- Fuel Handling: Handle gasoline with extreme care. Store fuel in approved containers, away from ignition sources. Refuel outdoors in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool.
- Work Area: Ensure the work area is clear of debris, rocks, and other objects that could be thrown by the tines. Keep bystanders, children, and pets at a safe distance (at least 15 meters).
- Inspect Before Use: Check the tiller for loose parts, damaged components, or fuel leaks before each operation.
- Engine Operation: Never operate the engine in an enclosed space where carbon monoxide fumes can accumulate.
- Tine Safety: Keep hands and feet away from rotating tines. The tines will continue to rotate for a short period after the engine is shut off.
- Slope Operation: Exercise extreme caution when operating on slopes. Till across the face of slopes, never up and down.
- Maintenance: Disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any maintenance or clearing blockages.
- Storage: Store the tiller in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.

Setup and Assembly
The tiller may require some assembly before first use. Follow these steps carefully.
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage during transit.
- Handlebar Assembly: Attach the handlebars to the main unit using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Control Cable Connection: Connect the throttle and clutch cables to their respective levers on the handlebars and to the engine/gearbox. Ensure they are routed correctly and have proper tension.
- Tine Installation: If not pre-installed, attach the tines to the axle. Ensure they are oriented correctly for proper rotation.
- Transport Wheel: Install the transport wheel. This wheel is typically adjustable for height or can be folded up during operation.
- Add Engine Oil: Before starting, fill the engine with the recommended type and amount of engine oil (refer to the engine manual for specifics, typically 4-stroke engine oil). Do not overfill.

Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your tiller.
Starting the Engine:
- Check Oil and Fuel: Ensure engine oil and fuel levels are adequate.
- Choke: Move the choke lever to the "START" or "CHOKE" position (cold engine).
- Primer Bulb: Press the primer bulb 3-5 times until fuel is visible.
- Throttle: Set the throttle lever to the "FAST" position.
- Pull Starter: Grasp the starter handle firmly and pull slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and smoothly. Repeat until the engine starts.
- Warm-up: Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" position as the engine warms up.
Tilling Operation:
- Adjust Depth: Set the desired tilling depth using the depth adjustment mechanism. The maximum working depth is 25 cm.
- Engage Tines: Squeeze the clutch lever on the handlebar to engage the tines.
- Control Speed: Use the throttle to control the engine speed. For initial passes or tough soil, a slower speed might be preferable.
- Maneuver: Guide the tiller forward. Allow the tines to do the work. Do not force the machine.
- Multiple Passes: For deeper tilling, make several passes, gradually increasing the depth with each pass.
- Turning: Release the clutch lever to disengage the tines before turning.

- After Each Use:
- Clean the tines and housing of any soil, debris, or plant material.
- Inspect for loose bolts or damaged parts. Tighten or replace as necessary.
- Engine Oil:
- Check oil level before each use.
- Change engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 25-50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
- Air Filter:
- Inspect and clean the air filter every 10-25 hours of operation, or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace if damaged.
- Spark Plug:
- Inspect and clean the spark plug annually or every 50 hours. Replace if worn or fouled.
- Fuel System:
- Drain the fuel tank and carburetor if storing for more than 30 days, or use a fuel stabilizer.
- Tines:
- Inspect tines for wear or damage. Replace worn tines to maintain tilling efficiency.
