Setup
1. Powering the Main Unit
The main unit can be powered by the included AC adapter or by 3 AAA batteries (not included).
- Using AC Adapter: Connect the AC adapter to the main unit and plug it into a power outlet. The display will light up continuously, and you can select from 5 backlight levels.
- Using Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit and insert 3 AAA batteries, observing polarity (+/-). When powered by batteries, the backlight will illuminate for 15 seconds when you press the SNZ/LIGHT button. It will not stay on continuously.

This image illustrates the two power modes: the main unit connected to a wall outlet via an AC adapter, and the outdoor sensor with batteries inserted into its compartment.
2. Setting up the Outdoor Sensor
The outdoor sensor requires 2 AA batteries (not included).
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor.
- Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Select a channel (1, 2, or 3) using the CH switch inside the battery compartment. For a single sensor, Channel 1 is typically used.
- Close the battery compartment.
- Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location, protected from direct rain and sunlight, to ensure accurate readings. It should be within the wireless range of the main unit.
3. RCC Reception (DCF Radio Controlled Clock)
The weather station automatically receives the DCF radio signal to set the time and date. This process can take up to 7 minutes after initial power-on.
- After connecting power, do not operate the main unit for the first ten minutes to avoid interfering with DCF radio reception.
- The radio wave symbol (21) on the display will blink during reception. Once successfully received, the symbol will become solid.
- If reception fails, try relocating the main unit to a different position, preferably near a window, and away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
- DCF can be set for -12 to +12 time zones.

Image: Automatic RCC reception on the weather station display.
This image highlights the automatic reception of RCC settings, indicating that the DCF signal can be adjusted for a -12 to +12 timezone. The display shows the time, date, and weather information, with a radio signal icon indicating active reception.
4. Initial Settings (Manual Time, Date, Units)
If automatic RCC reception is not desired or unavailable, you can manually set the time, date, and measurement units.
(Specific button names and sequences are not provided in the source data, so general instructions are given.)
- Typically, a "SET" or "MODE" button is used to enter settings mode.
- Use "UP" / "DOWN" or "+" / "-" buttons to adjust values.
- Press "SET" or "MODE" again to confirm and move to the next setting.
- Settings usually include: 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day, temperature unit (°C/°F), and atmospheric pressure unit (mb/Hpa / inHg).
Operating Instructions
1. Display Information
The large LCD display shows various information simultaneously:
- Indoor Temperature & Humidity: Current readings for the main unit's location.
- Outdoor Temperature & Humidity: Current readings from the connected outdoor sensor.
- Time & Date: Automatically set by DCF or manually configured.
- Weather Forecast: Icons predicting weather for the next 12 hours.
- Moon Phase: Graphical representation of the current moon phase.
- Atmospheric Pressure: Current pressure and trend graph.
- Comfort Indicator: Icon indicating indoor comfort level (WET, COM, DRY).

This image demonstrates the clear visibility of the 7.8-inch display from various viewing angles, ensuring readability regardless of placement.
2. Weather Forecast
The weather station analyzes real-time data from the outdoor sensor to predict weather conditions for the next 12 hours. It displays one of six weather conditions:
- Clear
- Partially Clear
- Cloudy
- Rain
- Storm
- Heavy Snowfall

This image shows the visual representation of the 12-hour weather forecast, including icons for sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, and snowy conditions. Below this, a series of moon phase illustrations are displayed.
3. Max/Min Records and Alarms
Press the MEM/- button to view the maximum and minimum values for indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity over a 24-hour period. You can also manually set high and low alarm values for temperature and humidity. An alarm will sound when these predefined values are reached.
4. Comfort Indicator
The comfort indicator provides feedback on the indoor environment based on real-time temperature and humidity data:
- WET: Humidity ≥ 70%
- COM (Comfortable): 40% ≤ Humidity ≤ 70% AND 20°C ≤ Temperature ≤ 28°C
- DRY: Humidity ≤ 40%
5. Moon Phase and Atmospheric Pressure
The display includes a moon phase graphic, allowing you to track the lunar cycle. The atmospheric pressure display offers two units: mb/Hpa and inHg.
6. Backlight Control
- Battery Power: Press the SNZ/LIGHT button to activate the backlight for 15 seconds.
- AC Adapter Power: The backlight remains continuously on. You can select from 5 brightness levels.
7. Connecting Multiple Sensors (Channels)
The weather station supports up to 3 external sensors. To view data from different sensors:
- Press the CH/+ button in normal mode.
- The display will cycle through the temperature and humidity of each connected external sensor in the order: Channel 1 → Channel 2 → Channel 3 → Cycle Mode → Channel 1.

This image illustrates the capability of the weather station to connect to up to three external sensors, labeled CH1, CH2, and CH3, allowing for monitoring of different locations.
Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
- When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in the respective unit (main unit or outdoor sensor).
- Always replace all batteries at once with new ones of the same type.
- Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
2. Cleaning
- Wipe the main unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing.
- Ensure no moisture enters the battery compartments or other openings.
3. Storage
If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove all batteries from both the main unit and the outdoor sensor to prevent leakage and damage. Store the device in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display on main unit. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. AC adapter not connected or faulty. | Replace batteries, check polarity. Ensure AC adapter is securely connected and functional. |
| Outdoor temperature/humidity not displayed or incorrect. | Outdoor sensor batteries are dead. Sensor is out of range. Interference. Incorrect channel selected. | Replace sensor batteries. Move sensor closer to the main unit. Avoid placing near large metal objects or electronics. Ensure main unit is set to the correct sensor channel. |
| DCF time synchronization fails. | Weak signal due to location or interference. Initial setup interrupted. | Relocate the main unit near a window, away from electronic devices. Allow 10 minutes for initial reception without interruption. Manually set time if necessary. |
| Weather forecast seems inaccurate. | Forecast is for the next 12 hours and based on atmospheric pressure changes, not real-time conditions. | Understand that the forecast is a prediction based on pressure trends and may not always match current sky conditions perfectly. It updates periodically. |
| Backlight not staying on. | Main unit is running on batteries. | Connect the main unit to the AC adapter for continuous backlight. When on batteries, the backlight is temporary to conserve power. |
