3. Setup (Installation Guide)

3.1. Pre-Installation Notes

• Ensure the KFU65 model meets your installation requirements: 6.5KW - 240 Volts with a maximum amperage of 29A.
• Requires 1 x 30 Amp Double-Pole (DP) breaker and 10# AWG wiring with ground.
• Unit dimensions: 8.5” (W) x 9 ” (H) x 2.6” (D).
• Water connection: 1/2" NPT.
• Not suitable for showering or areas with incoming water temperature below 60℉.
• The unit is portable and wall-mountable, designed for compact spaces.
• Comes with a 1.2-meter power cord (does not include a plug).

3.2. Mounting the Unit

1. Choose a suitable wall location near the water supply and electrical panel.
2. Securely mount the unit to the wall using the provided rubber plugs and screws. Ensure it is level and stable.

3.3. Water Connection

1. Connect the 1/2-inch NPT inlet (blue) to your cold water supply line. The water inlet is equipped with a filter screen.
2. Connect the 1/2-inch NPT outlet (red) to your hot water fixture.
3. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.

3.4. Electrical Connection

1. A separate 240V circuit installation is required.
2. Connect the live wires (L1, L2) and grounding wire (G) from your electrical panel to the corresponding terminals on the water heater.
3. Ensure the 30 Amp DP breaker is installed correctly.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On and Digital Display

Once installed and connected, turn on the power. The digital display will illuminate, showing the current water temperature. The unit provides instant hot water, reaching 86℉ within 3 seconds.

4.2. Temperature Control

• Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the unit to adjust the desired water temperature. The maximum temperature is 131 Degrees Fahrenheit.
• The self-regulating technology automatically adjusts power input based on real-time flow and temperature settings to maintain your desired temperature.

4.3. Energy Saving Features

The WINTEMP tankless water heater is designed for high energy efficiency. When water flow decreases, the system reduces power usage. When not in use, it consumes no energy, leading to significant savings on water heating costs (up to 50% compared to traditional tank heaters).
