3. Installation Instructions
Tools Required: Screwdriver, Wire Strippers, Electrical Tape, Pliers, Safety Glasses.
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the circuit is turned off at the main circuit breaker.
- Prepare Mounting Surface: Remove any existing fixture and mounting bracket. Ensure the electrical box is securely mounted and capable of supporting the fixture's weight.
- Install Mounting Bracket: Attach the provided mounting bracket to the electrical box using the screws.
- Make Electrical Connections:
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the electrical box.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the electrical box.
- Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the electrical box (usually bare copper or green).
- Secure all connections with wire nuts and electrical tape.
- Mount the Fixture: Carefully align the fixture with the mounting bracket and secure it with the provided screws.
- Install Glass Shades: Gently attach each glass shade to the fixture. Ensure they are securely fastened but do not overtighten. The fixture can be installed with bulbs facing up or down.
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete, turn the power back on at the main circuit breaker.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Color Temperature Selection
This vanity light features three adjustable color temperature options: 3000K (Warm White), 4000K (Natural White), and 6000K (Cool White). To change the color temperature, locate the small switch on the side of the fixture's mounting base. Adjust the switch to your desired setting before final installation or by carefully reaching the switch after installation if accessible.
4.2. Dimmable Functionality
The SineRise Vanity Light is fully dimmable. To utilize this feature, a compatible dimmer switch (not included) must be installed on your wall. Once installed, you can adjust the brightness level from 5% to 100% to suit your needs.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your vanity light.
- Cleaning: Always turn off the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the fixture. For glass shades, a mild glass cleaner can be used, applied to the cloth first, not directly to the fixture. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- LED Chips: The integrated LED chips have an estimated lifespan of 54,000 hours and are not user-replaceable. Do not attempt to open the sealed LED components.
- Inspection: Periodically check for any loose connections or signs of wear. If any issues are found, disconnect power and consult a qualified electrician.
