3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking and Filter Preparation
Before first use, remove all packaging materials from the air purifier and ensure the filters are properly installed without their protective plastic film.
- Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging.
- Locate the filter compartment. For the JF500, the filters are accessed from the rear cover plate.
- Press down the button on the rear cover plate and pull it out slightly to open.
- Lift the filter cover from the air purifier.
- Take out the pre-installed filters. They will be enclosed in plastic packaging.
- Remove the protective plastic film from each filter.
- Insert the filters back into the air purifier, ensuring they are correctly oriented.
- Close the filter cover and secure the rear cover plate.

3.2 Placement
Place the air purifier on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is at least 15 cm (6 inches) of clear space around all sides for optimal airflow.
3.3 Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The unit is now ready for operation.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features various buttons and indicators for easy operation.

- Download App: Download the "Jafända" app from your smartphone's app store.
- Pair Device: Follow the in-app instructions to pair your air purifier with your Wi-Fi network.
- Voice Control: Once paired, enable the Jafända skill in your Alexa or Google Home app to control the purifier using voice commands.

5. Air Quality Monitoring
The JF500 features a built-in PM2.5 sensor that provides real-time air quality readings. The display indicates air quality using both numerical values and a color-coded system.

- Yellow (Average): 36-55 Particles
- Red (Poor): 56+ Particles
The laser sensor accurately tracks particles down to 0.3 microns, allowing the purifier to respond effectively to changes in your indoor environment.

6. Filtration System
The Jafända JF500 utilizes a powerful 4x True HEPA 13 filtration system to capture 99.97% of harmful particles, including dust, allergens, pollen, smoke, pet dander, mold, and VOCs.
6.1 Pre-Filter
The pre-filter captures large particles such as lint, fiber, pet hair, and dust, extending the life of the subsequent filters.
6.2 True HEPA Filter
The True HEPA 13 filter removes 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.015 microns, including bacteria, mold, pollen, pet dander, smoke, and fine dust.
6.3 Activated Carbon Filter
The activated carbon filter, with 20 times the odor absorption capacity, effectively absorbs common household odors like cooking smells, pet dander, and wildfire smoke, as well as VOCs.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Filter Replacement
The filter life indicator on the control panel will illuminate when it's time to replace the filters. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace all four filters simultaneously.
- Turn off and unplug the air purifier.
- Open the rear cover plate and remove the used filters.
- Dispose of the old filters responsibly.
- Unpack the new Jafända JF500 replacement filters (ensure plastic film is removed).
- Insert the new filters into the unit, ensuring proper orientation.
- Close the rear cover plate.
- Plug in the air purifier.
- Press and hold the Filter Reset button (refer to control panel diagram in app or manual) for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light turns off, resetting the filter life counter.

7.2 Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the air purifier with a soft, dry cloth.
