2. Safety Information

• Always place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Using it on soft surfaces like carpet may affect accuracy.

5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
4. Close the battery compartment cover.

5.2. Initial Placement

Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid carpets or uneven flooring, as this can affect measurement accuracy.

5.3. Unit Selection (lbs/kg)

On the underside of the scale, near the battery compartment, you will find a small button or switch to toggle between pounds (lb) and kilograms (kg). Select your preferred unit before first use.

5.4. User Profile Setup

The scale can store data for up to 5 users. To set up a user profile:

1. Step onto the scale. It will display your weight.
2. Press the 'SET' button located on the display area. The user number (e.g., 'U1') will flash.
3. Use the arrow buttons (left/right) to select a user number (U1-U5).
4. Press 'SET' again to confirm the user number.
5. The scale will then prompt for height. Use the arrow buttons to adjust your height and press 'SET'.
6. The scale will then prompt for age. Use the arrow buttons to adjust your age and press 'SET'.
7. The profile is now saved. The scale will automatically recognize you based on your weight when you step on it in the future.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Taking a Measurement

1. Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat surface.
2. Step onto the scale with bare feet. Stand still and centered on the scale.
3. The scale will automatically turn on and display your weight.
4. After a few seconds, the display will cycle through your current weight, weight change from previous measurement, 3-day average change, 7-day average change, and BMI.
5. The scale will automatically turn off after a few seconds of inactivity.

6.2. Understanding the Color Alert Display

The Ozeri WeightMaster features a unique color-alert LCD display to provide immediate visual feedback on your weight trends:

• Green Illumination: Indicates a weight loss compared to your previous measurement.
• Red Illumination: Indicates a weight gain compared to your previous measurement.
• No Color Illumination (Blue/White): Indicates no significant change or the first measurement.

7. Maintenance and Care

• Clean the scale with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
• Store the scale in a cool, dry place.
• If the scale is not used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
• Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
