2. Safety Information
To ensure safe operation, observe the following precautions:
- Electrical Safety: Always connect the device to a grounded power outlet. Disconnect power before any service or maintenance. Ensure the power supply voltage matches the device's requirements.
- Heat Management: The device generates heat during operation. Ensure adequate ventilation and do not obstruct cooling vents. Maintain a safe distance from flammable materials.
- Mounting: Securely mount the light bar using appropriate clamps and safety cables. Ensure the mounting surface or structure can support the device's weight (approximately 25.4 pounds).
- Eye Protection: Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source, as it can cause eye damage.
- Environmental Conditions: Do not expose the device to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures. Operate in dry environments.
- Qualified Personnel: Installation, maintenance, and repair should only be performed by qualified personnel.

4. Setup
4.1 Mounting
The SHEHDS Moving Head LED Light Bar can be mounted in various orientations (e.g., truss, floor). Always ensure the mounting location is stable and capable of supporting the fixture's weight. Use appropriate clamps and safety cables for overhead installations. The quick lock mechanism on the bottom of the unit facilitates secure attachment.
4.2 Power Connection
Connect the provided power cable to the Power IN socket on the rear panel and then to a suitable grounded power outlet. The Power OUT socket allows for daisy-chaining power to multiple units, provided the total current draw does not exceed the circuit's capacity.
4.3 DMX Connection (Optional)
For DMX control, connect a DMX controller to the DMX IN port using a 3-pin XLR cable. If connecting multiple units, daisy-chain them by connecting the DMX OUT of the first unit to the DMX IN of the next. Ensure the last unit in the chain has a DMX terminator connected to its DMX OUT port.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Panel Operation
Use the Function, Up, Down, and Confirm keys to navigate the display menu and adjust settings. The display screen will show the current mode and parameters.
5.2 DMX Mode
To operate the light bar via DMX, set the desired DMX address using the control panel. Press the Confirm key after setting the address; the device will retain this address even after power cycling. Select one of the available DMX channel modes (7, 13, or 43 channels) based on your controller and desired level of control.
5.3 RDM Mode
This device supports RDM (Remote Device Management), allowing for remote configuration of DMX addresses and other settings from a compatible RDM controller.
5.4 Sound Control Mode
In Sound Control mode, the light bar reacts to ambient sound, creating dynamic light patterns synchronized with music or audio. Adjust sensitivity via the menu if available.
5.5 Auto-Run Mode
The Auto-Run mode features pre-programmed light sequences and effects. Select from various built-in programs using the control panel.
5.6 Master-Slave Mode
Connect multiple light bars via DMX cables. Set one unit as the Master and the others as Slaves. The Slave units will then mirror the Master's operation, allowing for synchronized effects without a DMX controller.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your light bar.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the lenses and exterior with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the device is powered off and cooled before cleaning.
- Inspection: Regularly check power cables, DMX cables, and mounting hardware for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections.
- Cooling Vents: Ensure cooling vents are free from dust and debris to maintain proper airflow.
7. Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below for common issues and their solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power | Power cable disconnected; Power switch off; Blown fuse. | Check power cable connection; Turn on power switch; Replace fuse with one of the same rating. |
| No light output | Incorrect mode selected; DMX signal issue; Dimmer channel at zero. | Verify operating mode; Check DMX cable and address; Increase dimmer value on controller. |
| Light not responding to DMX | Incorrect DMX address; Faulty DMX cable; No DMX terminator; DMX controller issue. | Verify DMX address matches controller; Test DMX cable; Add DMX terminator to last unit; Check DMX controller output. |
| Limited Y-axis movement | Physical obstruction; Y-axis limit setting. | Ensure clear path for movement; Check Y-axis settings in menu or DMX channel. Note: The Y-axis travel is 0-230°. |
